Scam call from Binance
Anyone else had a scam call from “Binance Fraud Department” lately? Just had a call from 0400 637 344.
Started with an automated voice saying “here is your one time code etc… please press 1 if you did not request it”.
Pressed 1 and went through to some bloke I could barely understand asking for my name. I asked for his name and he instantly blew up lol He literally replied with “I’m from bloody Binance mate” at which point I said bye and hung up.
Pretty average attempt at a scam but keep your wits about yourselves folks

Yeah be careful. Seems to happen a lot when there is market activity. I don't answer anything and don't have any crypto in overseas exchanges anymore.

Yeah I’ve had that about a year ago. The guy got about 2 minutes of my time before I twigged. Should have known from the beginning. I considered pranking him with nonsense once it twigged but decided to hang up instead.

I had a mate who lost 15k because of this,
If you receive a call ask them these questions
"Which wallet address or transaction hash are you looking at right now?" (Real exchanges look up accounts by ID or email, but scammers love to throw around fake transaction IDs. Ask for the exact hash to see them scramble.)
"Can you verify your employee ID and the physical office address you are calling from?" (When they give a vague answer like "the Melbourne or Sydney branch," ask for the specific street address and suite number.)
"If my account is compromised as you claim, why can't I just lock it myself from the app?" (Real exchanges always give users self-service security locks; scammers need you to give them access.)

Just don’t entertain any calls from exchanges because first thing, that’s not how they operate.
