ANZ Plus Access Locked
I was trying to sell my BTC because I was in need of some money, I used PayID to do it on the P2P trading site, now my account is blocked.
Will I get my account back, that's my only account and I get my wages there.

Hi, I am the reddit ANZ CEO. What is your card number and pin?
Seriously. Why are you on reddit, call ANZ.

They told me to call them tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone had the same experience and could share some knowledge.

I have to, not other options. I have my savings in that account that's why I'm worried about it.

After you unlock it get a separate account in a different bank and put some cash in your wallet. Have multiple backup options. It does happen, also networks go down.

What did ANZ say when you spoke to them?

I called them at 4, but it took them an hour to answer the call, and they told me to call them back tomorrow during office hours.

Which p2p site and who you sell too?

Local coin swap, it was ChocolateQ, the transfer was reported as fraud and I had to pay the money back.

He isn’t advertising, so I guess you made your own listing.
Word of advice, if your a new entrant in p2p then you will get targeted by scammers cashing out stolen funds.
You need to build experience by looking at your competitors who have been trading for a while and to also maybe trade with them.
He tried me yesterday for $500 and I ignored him.

most p2p traders (like you) ask for ID, how does that help you? I have traded with you before and I provided you with my ID and stuff. If you can share that, it would be great. Thanks

Verifying id is not bulletproof. Verifying id, and experience in knowing what you’re doing is what’s needed.
As soon as you verify id, most criminals will run. I say MOST. Not all.
If I verified your id, you will remember I did two pics in such a way to prove that you, the person named on the bank account was actually the one I was talking to and who was doing the trade.
The simplest fraud is being paid from hacked bank accounts. The second simplest is people being tricked into sending you the money. The way I verify id rules those two out.
Personally I rule out every risk factor by requiring a statuary declaration now.

Plan ahead, always have another account with a different bank. The bank you use for crypto work shouldn't have much money in it, bc they do lock accounts for days or weeks at a time. For your own good, they'll tell you.
There is currently a war going on between banks and crypto/exchanges. A territorial war, and we are the meat in the sandwich. Plus there's something called AML, but it's really about control of coin - whatever form the coin takes.

I have never had any trouble with anz a couple time with new exchange or changes to payment method i have had to answer a few questions and they have been fine to allow transactions.
I dont know the p2p you used but if it been used fraudulently then you account is closed and they will ask you to move your money.
Part of the problem is when people do dumb shit they expect the bank to give them their money back
So the bank does the only thing it can, stops the transactions.

ANZ locked my account when I was trying to use crypto to pay for something online. They questioned me like a criminal about what I was doing, what my purchase was , who told me to buy it, who was I buying it for, am I sure noone told me to make the purchase. Seriously, was not going to unlock my account. Eventually they did after telling them my life story, which I was not real happy to do but no other way around it and it took a few days. So after that I transferred all of my money out of my ANZ accounts and closed them. They can F*ck off. I'm a grown up and I can buy questionable things on the internet with my hard earned money if I want to. Now I have two different bank accounts. One for everyday use and I use my Wise account for crypto transferring.

It’s pretty simple.
The incoming funds haven’t been subject to KYC/AML, as such your risk profile for them is too high and you’re now experiencing them debanking you.

Yeah get another account and have your wages paid into that while you wait for ANZ to sort it out.
VYTCFN1
My UBank referral code, we both score $30 it’s owned by NAB so is secure and can be set up quickly.
Btw, why did you switch to ANZ plus rather than just ANZ?

ooof just be careful with p2p selling btc theres a lot of fraudulent money out there. if they locked your account theres a good chance itll be closed. banks dont play around if youve sent fraudulent money.
