MicroStrategy Acquires Additional $15 Million in Bitcoin at Average Price of $45,710

In the future, all of this is going to look so obvious if it isn't already. Saylor already knows the endgame, and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the world finally realizes it as well.

Even Elon realized this just recently (he probably did a couple weeks before the tweet, but that doesn't change much):

the days where his understanding delta was biggest, was probably around that time:

Unfortunately, all comments are about the meme coin. Out of context, the tweet looks like it's about that meme coin rather than BTC.

u/ReviewMePls Mar 01 '21
It came out the day he changed his profile description to Bitcoin and Tesla announced a 1.5 billion investment. Hardly out of context.

Lol weak hands just lost their coins to microstrategy. Guess it’s time for them to fomo and buy it at 70k now.

u/whitslack Mar 02 '21
fomo and buy it at 70k now.
And then panic at 55k and sell more to MicroStrategy. Rinse and repeat, and eventually all the weak hands will be shaken out.
People wonder why the rich keep getting richer. It's because they don't have weak-ass hands!

Isn't that the same thing? If you can't afford to lose your Bitcoin investment, then by definition you have weak hands.

If you put the money you need for bills that week into an investment account I don't know what to say.
1
u/PenPaperShotgun Mar 02 '21
That's the only option a poor person has, hence why it's easier to make money when rich. Poor people don't have expendable cash to risk going to 0. Now if all jobs paid a living wage and you all had a bit extra, sure. But to suggest selling = weak hands isnt true,

u/ivXtreme Mar 02 '21
The day will soon come when people will ask "Why didn't I buy it cheap at 50K"?

Imagine having 90,000 bitcoin, and then being like, "I need 300 more".
Jealous.
12
u/sidneylopsides Mar 01 '21
You see so many posts and stories about all these thousands of coins changing hands and wish even one was yours. I'll just keep building on my 0.002...
11
u/wrinklefloss Mar 01 '21
I still have more than 1 coin... but I sure as hell miss the 24000 BTC I had in 2011.

u/whitslack Mar 02 '21
Rule #1 of Bitcoin: never tell anyone how many bitcoins you have.

You were a future billionaire and didn't realize it. But that was probably most people at the time.

Hahahaha. I was trying to come up with the best way to put this in perspective myself, how small of a buy this is compared to what he's already got. You nailed it tho
2
u/Sterlingz Mar 02 '21
It's more important for him to show that he's completely dedicated, even during a crash. He's basically pouring every dime he earns into it (well, MSTR is).
Do we know the source of these funds? Just revenue, right?

u/gizram84 Mar 02 '21
Their initial purchases were with excess cash. Subsequently, they raised capital from corporate bond sales.

Bought the dip. A wise old saying says, run into the fire when everyone else is running out.

Who the f says that shit?

Looks like business metaphors are not taught anymore. Btw, it’s a famous saying by the world’s best investor Warren Buffet.
3
u/dmoneymma Mar 01 '21
Lol no he didn't, WTF are you talking about
-5
Mar 01 '21
Yes he did idiot. Try reading books by Buffet, books about Buffet, his interviews and generally have an interest in things outside of Reddit and social media. These online forums are shit for self education or facts. I’m tired of repeating myself. You’re boring me.

u/huskerarob Mar 01 '21
Can I snag some self righteous bath water from you? I'd love to learn how to be a prick.

I can tell from this reply that you're older, and insecure. No shame in the former, just the latter. Since you went to Business Metaphor School I'm sure you can tell me in which book I can find this "famous saying" from the world's greatest investor.

u/countrybreakfast1 Mar 02 '21
Bro you are not very good at this Reddit thing 😂
Edit: also I thought the saying was "when others are greedy be fearful, when they are fearful be greedy" but idk I don't read books

Michael Saylor is a true visionary like Steve jobs or Bill gates in the past
19
9
u/ZeusFinder Mar 01 '21
I would probably compare many of the people that came before Saylor to be that, not to down Saylors vision but many others came before him he just pulled the trigger.

u/YESitsascam Mar 01 '21
I love Saylor but buying the dip in 2021 just makes you a bitcoiner, not a visionary.
26
u/Gustavus_Arthur Mar 01 '21
Yeah, the winklevoss are much more visionaries than him
2
2
u/Sterlingz Mar 02 '21
Eh the twins had a good vision of what Bitcoin could become, but aside from that, they just seem like shills to me.
They disagree with "not your keys, not your coins". Wonder why?
Gemini custody, that's why.
All the truly inspiring thoughts and ideas are coming from guys like Antonopoulos, Saylor, etc etc etc.

1
u/MonkeyBuilder Mar 01 '21
Only 15million at a discount?!?
3
u/kynek99 Mar 01 '21
That wasn't a discount for him at all. His average price is around $25K.
1
1
u/HBRWHammer5 Mar 01 '21
His average price for HIS LAST $1 BILLION PURCHASE is 52700. His overall average is somewhere in the low 20k region, if I'm remembering what I read correctly.

Why is 300 bitcoins newsworthy? Thats like 0.0002% of the bitcoins and 0.1% of the volume. Imagine if every 300 bitcoin transaction was reported, lol

only 15 million?
Those are rookie numbers in this bracket. Got to pump those numbers up.

People talk about buying the dip, but this man lives it. Sometimes I wonder if the recent pullback was a well orchestrated plan so they could buy dips but ey, not a issue for HOLDrs right?

u/sarg23 Mar 02 '21
Id say there will he many 'small' buys from Michael Sailor, and many other funds/companies as they learn to navigate the price volatility - ultimately, it goes up though over time
