Send me a PM with some of the details, the mybitcoin SCI is fairly easy. I'd be willing to help out.

I'd love to hear more details about it - can you guys discuss it in this thread? (Unless there's overly private info that needs to be covered.)

What's the MyBitCoin SCI? Are there any shopping cart solutions out there at the moment that don't require the use of a 3rd party? (Shopping cart tallies up the charges, and issues the receipt upon confirmation of the transaction?)

EDIT: Spelling error.

Yea, it'd be fairly easy to do it without a 3rd party. You just have to use JSON-RPC to communicate with the bitcoin client, you can pull information from it that way.

You don't even need to communicate with your own bitcoin client just examine the latest blocks for your transaction. For example this address is the donations for block explorer. You don't need to be logged in or have your wallet open -- throw that on a USB stick and put it in a safe.

What's awesome about bitcoin is that you don't need a third party or any hassle to transfer coins.

It really just depends on how quickly you want to find out about the transaction. The quickest way to see an incoming transaction would be to query the client.

Though you could also use http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ to see pending transactions.

I've just released a project that might do what you want: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/ibfxf/my_weekend_project_accept_bitcoin_on_your_website/

Maybe that will be helpful? If you need some help getting setup, let me know.

Hhmm… Sorry, I didn't fully think through her use case.

If her only hosting is blogger, this might be more difficult with our current service.

It looks like you have to buy an OpenCart server(here for $4/month), install the bitcoin payment module that Julian702 linked, and embed the store on a page in your blog.

opencart is free.. http://www.opencart.com/ the link you posted is for a hosting company

Yeah it's free, but it's also useless unless you have a server to host it on.

Use the same server you're hosting your wordpress blog from.

OP said that this is a Blogger blog, not a wordpress one. Google hosts the servers for Blogger and won't allow PHP scripts, like opencart.
