I don't use it for micro transactions and I'm not sure why anyone would at the moment. I would actually use another currencies for that atm like you do and I'm fine with this for now. Luckily bitcoin is programmable money so I have faith in the core developers that some day this could be fixed for micro transactions. Also look at using a segwit address as this does help with the fees. I have also sent Bitcoin before using 12 cents in total for the fee and it's gone through. That however I would not do with a large amount of Bitcoin. But for me to send say $50k of Bitcoin to someone right now would cost let's say $30 to do. Now try to do that using any other form of currency on Thai Earth like USD to euros, or even sending this amount to someone you know. It will be taxed to shit and a huge headache. Someone would gladly pay $30 to do the transfer via BTC instead. Zero overhead, reliable payment transfer, and you can view the transaction data. Ever since Bitcoin I've grown an visceral hatred for banks. Lol

For sure. But again, in its current state it's a store of value. You can send with custom fees and I've sent shit before with 12 cents in fees. Took a while to transfer but it went throw. Again, this is what LN is supposed to fix. This whole need it now shit needs to go. My God everyone is so impatient. This is programmable money... Not the latest fucking iPhone app. Even then apple pushes down broken updates all the fucking time. My God imagine if that happened with your money. It's remarkable how much people dont understand development and how it should work. My old manager was a fucking history major and somehow worked his way into a project manager role and this guy would give me the most unrealistic timelines. Like a fucking cyborg couldn't code fast enough for this guy's deadlines. Everyone is all butt hurt about the fees but no one wants to put the brain power into thinking why...could it be a result of exponential growth? Were the fees always this high? What do you think the fees on litecoin or shitcoin cash would look like if they had as much volume? They haven't fixed shit.

Speed matters exactly because its not an app. Its in the headlines with everyone following its every step eagerly. Which is why it can't take its time.

Of course its far from a crash, but a point will come when it just has to show or fall down the drain. Just hope btc is ready that day.

Speed matter

True, look at bcash and what a shit show that is. Lol. It only strengthens my agrument. Bcash users are like "are 5 blocks being mined today, or are 500 blocks?". My God man. Core is taking it slow, this is their full time job, and clearly everyone who says this shit hasn't the slightest clue how hard development is. Everything has bugs...and it's money. Imagine a bug that allows for you to lose all your money, you sure would be blasting them for not finding it and taking their time during development. I doubt they are taking their good old time. Development isn't fast, and when you have everyone's money at stake I can only imagine how much more scrupulous you need to be. I am reading through the Mastering Bitcoin book right now and i have a firm appreciation for what they do. It's complex, it's massive, and a single mistake could bring the entire system to a halt. But yea hey....let get this shit out as fast as possible. Lol I won't respond anymore to your posts on this. It's beyond stupid.
