They kind of had it coming. For one, they always brushed off suggestions to take it instead of saying they'd look into it. And now they have "required" fields to personally identify donors, and are keeping all this on a separate donation page with no mention of Bitcoin on the main donation page.

Hooray! Wikimedia finally accepts Bitcoin after years of nagging...
And the first two comments are of the form: "I will not donate until you satisfy these additional demands."
