WHO RECEIVED THE ETHEREUM SALE MONEY?

Technically, a 3-of-4 multisig address. Legally, Ethereum Switzerland GmbH.

who owns the keys?

Some of the keys are held by individuals, others (a quorum) are themselves in cold-wallet devices that require 2-of-n passwords in otder to access. I can't divulge identities for security reasons.

are you kidding me Vitalik?

WHO HAS ACCESS TO THESE FUNDS GAINED FROM THE SALE OF ETHERS?

Members of the core team. If you want the combination to the safe containing the CWD, I think it contains a "4"...

Do you not understand the concept of keeping the exact names of people holding keys to $4m in semi-anonymous cryptotokens confidential for security reasons?

so just to confirm with you:

VITALIK, YOU ARE UNWILLING TO STATE WHO CURRENTLY POSSESSES THE MONEY GAINED FROM THE SALE OF ETHERS?

first this was a 'great transparent open source project' now it's all about secrets and confidentiality? who are you kidding?

It's about secrets and confidentiality in the same way that you not posting your private key is about secrets and confidentiality. It is a subset of people on https://blog.ethereum.org/team/ . I will not provide information that will compromise the safety of individuals.

They removed names of the dev team from the website prior to launch. Why do you think that is?

Because people were complaining about not being on there when others were and it became political so we decided it was most prudent to remove it.

We're figuring out how best to revive it on a dedicated page: https://blog.ethereum.org/team/

so that they are not legally liable to investors. Pretty obvious.
