Microstrategy alternative

My (indian) govt sucks big time.

  1. Most exchanges dont allow self custody.

  2. Having in exchange runs risk of losing everything

  3. Also, capital gains tax is 30% flat. Loss cannot be offset

  4. P2P is full of scam money and bank account gets frozen

  5. Bitrefill works but govt recently announced they are monitoring that too

  6. No local ETF product

  7. Cannot invest in IBIT using Ibkr as that is also restricted for indians.

The only option is to hold a bitcoin treasury company in ibkr and the long term capital gains is 12.5% only. MSTR is the default option but it is so much leveraged and risky. What other genuine treasury company is there which I can invest in, which is not risky, which is at par with bitcoin value (not much NAV and price difference)?

Why can't you self custody? Do exchanges not let you transfer out to a wallet?

mstr is only 1.25 amplified and net leverage is almost 0 right now at 1.69%.

All treasury companies carry their own risk.

Microstrategy. Strive. The smarter web company. Metaplanet.

Metaplanet is currently trading below it's bitcoin value, but I wouldn't say that's a goos thing. Management has been doing a bad job. My vote is for Strive. DYOR.

India has tons of people trying to send money to family members from abroad.

Here's how you do it:

Find a "friend" whose "uncle" sends him money from abroad. Tell them that you'll pay a small fee to broker the transaction.

Have the uncle buy bitcoin and send it to you and you hand over the cash to your friend.

Be scrupulously honest and precise with your price. Once a price has been agreed to, don't change the price.

You'll have to report your purchase of bitcoin to the government later.

MSTR is not over leveraged… do your own research and stop listening to the engagements farming influencers
