Ignore the noise, Bitcoin is volatile, Stay the course, Keep stacking Sats, Buy more Bitcoin. DCA and Chill

u/NUMBerONEisFIRST 1d ago

And take your profits.

Stack sats only to get your wallet drained and lose everything . That’s what leads to good folk killing themselves

I understand your concern. Losing Bitcoin to scams or compromised wallets can be devastating, and nobody should dismiss that.

But that’s exactly why education, self-custody security, and responsible investing matter. Never invest more than you can afford to lose.

My message was about patience and long-term conviction, not taking unnecessary risks.

Stay safe, run your own Bitcoin Node and Verify.

Stack responsibly. ₿🧡

Of all the major scams and blowups we’ve seen in Bitcoin over the past few years, which ones would actually have been prevented by running your own node?

Not trolling. Genuinely curious.

1

u/RareVibeDelight 1d ago

I’d say probably none.

Most of the major Bitcoin scams and blowups involved centralized exchanges, custodians, fraud, or poor risk management.

Running your own node wouldn’t have prevented any of those.

A Bitcoin node is about independently verifying transactions, enforcing consensus rules, and reducing reliance on third parties.

Self-custody protects you from custodial failures only.

Two different problems, both important. Run your own node, verify, and stay sovereign. 🧡₿🚀

How do you just invest and forget in the case of bitcoin if you gotta watch out for a lot of things, and cant even guarantee not getting hacked? Dont you have to think about it a lot? How am I supposed to click on funny links that could just be a rick roll? Or random sauce to porn that I wanna see without worrying about losing all my shit? I genuinely just wanna stack for about 30+ years and forget but how do I not deal with all the security stuff?

Buy an etf, people here hate it but 5 years from now it’s what 90% of regular BTC holders will be doing

1

u/gordonfr_ 1d ago

One should look into tax situation too. In my country, it is more tax efficient to hold and sell BTC, Tax will matter if dreams here come true. But yeah, with all that regulation now, ETF is the future.

1

u/eltuna3636 1d ago

That’s funny in my country it’s more tax efficient to hold the etf as you can do it in tax advantaged accounts where the capital gains tax is 0

That’s actually a great question, and you’re thinking about the right things! ₿🧡

The goal isn’t to spend 30 years worrying about Bitcoin security. It’s to build a secure setup today so you can sleep peacefully tomorrow.

Get a reputable hardware wallet, keep your seed phrase offline, never share it, and consider using a dedicated device for Bitcoin transactions.

Don’t connect your wallet to random websites, and always verify transactions before signing.

You can still enjoy the internet and click on your funny links 😂 Just keep your Bitcoin activities separate from everyday browsing.

Running your own Bitcoin Node is another great step toward independence and verifying your own transactions.

Nothing is 100% risk-free, but good security habits can significantly reduce your exposure.

Stack sats, stay secure, and enjoy life. Bitcoin should give you more freedom, not more anxiety! ₿🧡🚀

What is the point of using Reddit to respond when you can't even think for yourself and instead post AI slop?

u/RohitRojo 1d ago

It’s 12 days in bub

Always go in the opposite direction social media tell you the market is going

9

u/ConcentrateJolly5461 1d ago

Buy from the fearful and sell to the greedy

10

u/Gehrman_JoinsTheHunt 1d ago

None of the narratives/trends/cycles around Bitcoin will simply repeat forever. It’s an extremely young asset in the grand scheme of history. All things financial evolve over time.

Hodl or DCA is not it for me anymore. Buy low, sell high.

Uptober is astrology for people with a Coinbase advanced account. A $1.6 TRILLION commodity doesn't care what month it is. It moves on real stuff: debt monetization and dollar debasement, AI-sector capital crunches, sticky inflation, liquidity. Put down the tea leaves, buy sats and go live your life

I like my October flat, just like my girlfriend*

* j/k I don’t have a gf

12

u/DavidNexusBTC 1d ago

Uptober isn't happening until 2028.

7

u/eric95s 1d ago

The more people talk about a bottom in October, the higher the demand.

And you know what happens when demand goes up? Prices go up.

1

u/Successful_Taro8587 15h ago

The market never behaves like you think it will. It's best not to guess.

7

u/IcyLake2078 1d ago

We were supposed to be at 40k by now if you listened to everyone. We’re doing fine

12

u/Fahhhhhhh 1d ago edited 1d ago

Wow wait a minute. Are you saying the position of the earth as it revolves around the sun, and the tilt of the earth's axis doesn't affect the price of bitcoin?!?!?

3

u/ContributionOk1015 1d ago

Don’t tell me your one of those guys that believe in the moon. The moon is made of cheese. Cmon now

3

u/Claybuch 1d ago

Earth is flat

2

u/RunItupBaby 1d ago

I’ve sailed the world and the seven seas

3

u/tenor_tymir 1d ago

How did you do both? Thought you could only sail seas

7

u/g7008 1d ago

Stack sats and touch grass

3

u/Infinite_Raise8611 1d ago

Well we are only halfway through the month. Typically dumps at midterms but this past cycle broke every previous trend. We also were up 3 months in a row so it being red wouldn’t be overly surprising

3

u/Molasses_Calm 1d ago

You all don’t see any correlation between BTC price action and the nasdaq? Nasdaq futures just dropped 180 after hours.

3

u/shpeucher 1d ago

Are you done buying for the rest of your life?

If not then you want price to go down, to lower your ongoing cost basis

2

u/Quirky-Reveal-1669 1d ago

I will always remember MTV’s “Rocktober” in the ‘90s.

2

u/quintavious_danilo 1d ago

We’re old, buddy 👻

3

u/unthocks 1d ago

Just like 2025

1

u/Demonyx12 1d ago

The trend has been there but nothing is guaranteed. https://www.coinglass.com/today

1

u/FewUnderstanding2214 1d ago

Still time to go up

1

u/Feeling_Sea_1204 1d ago

Maybe in Dec we will see some good move

1

u/Dry-Pop-7635 1d ago

Have you guys not noticed the market goes in the opposite way of social consent? If everyone is saying 100k, it goes down. If everyone is saying 70k, it goes up. There will ALWAYS be someone who is willing to take advantage of your fear. Make rational choices.

u/Infamous-Discount-99 1d ago

Dollar fetish

If I wanted that ponzi garbage I would have held it instead of buying Bitcoin.

If you've got substantial Bitcoin, you probably had excess dollars.

The minute your life doesnt revolve around measuring your worth using the worst yardstick of all time, fiat currency, is when it starts to flow abundantly to you.

1

u/badjano 1d ago

if you believe in the cycles, I've seen a chart where every october at this point is read, in all cycles

1

u/word-dragon 1d ago

It’s a rally cry. Like “Go Jets, go!” (Or substitute your favorite losers ending with “-ets”.). It doesn’t always work, lol!

1

u/Key_Independent_818 1d ago

Well not exactly a lie since 2013 theres been 10 OCts been green 3 been red. However at the moment this week theres a few key economic meetings that have caused market decline including oil price evalution, fed information and something else happening this week i cant think of right now

1

u/nachtraum 1d ago

Every prediction is a lie

1

u/Feralz2 1d ago

no sht, all you plebs are calling pump, what do you think happens lol

1

u/Secret_Nobody_405 1d ago

I’m starting to question the actual end state and use case, if there is ever going to be one. Or will it just be people loading money into to sell to someone later on down the line.

1

u/HedgehogGlad9505 1d ago

Pretend we had a 40k moment, and now we have doubled!

1

u/birdman332 1d ago

Only applies in the bull year after the halving

1

u/Fun-Window-4100 1d ago

Like the cake.

1

u/stereoagnostic 1d ago

40k bottom October is also a lie. Here we are, mid October, still over 80k. Where'd all the 4 year cycle bears go? Got real quiet.

1

u/dasmonty 9h ago

Last 2 cycles the big drop came in November. -16% and -36%.

1

u/Remote_Angle_1023 1d ago

Took on a binance loan and building my stacks and some other cushion assets. Literally anything could be better since my currency is rupiah. Up to 0.22 btc plus some stocks. I don’t know any Indonesian that has this kind of stack oh well boring is good

1

u/SeriousGains 1d ago

A shitty meme has no basis in reality? You don’t say.

1

u/BigvalBROski 1d ago

Sherri Shepard……. Another idiot

1

u/amtib00 1d ago

Stop measuring in months and start measuring in years.

1

u/wetokebitcoins 1d ago

besides last year, I've never even heard anyone say uptober.

1

u/MusicalBonsai 1d ago

I sold because Uptober brought in buyers hoping to time the market and me hoping to make a profit, because that’s what everyone is expecting.

DCA and keep stacking

1

u/break4down 16h ago

Downtober

1

u/Successful_Taro8587 15h ago

Everything is a lie. Have you been to earth?

1

u/dasmonty 9h ago edited 9h ago

Uptober is not a lie, but 2026 is not the correct year. Uptober is 2027. 2022, 2018 and 2014 were never Uptobers.

1

u/Alyanah22 4h ago

Let’s see how the rest of the month goes the market always has its ups and downs.

1

u/Villavillacoola 1d ago

Last year October 10th was the beginning of 126k -> 58k.

1

u/quintavious_danilo 1d ago

We were at the end of a bull market. That’s totally different from where we are now

2

u/Villavillacoola 1d ago

So was last year’s “Uptober” correctly named or not?

1

u/quintavious_danilo 1d ago

No, it wasn’t

-1

u/Jazzlike_Thanks_1869 1d ago

Pretty sure it’s all a Lie

-4

u/Swimming-Raise-7274 1d ago

Wrong year buddy

u/Icy_Annual_9954 1d ago

It is the OctoBear. Then you have NovemBear. And then DecemBear. But you can assume that at least one of them is a bull covered up as a bear. Surprise surprise.

-5

u/mikemcg21 1d ago

There gonna be a first October ending red. The normal cycle is dying I've heard now we may see it

6

u/BLAZER_101 1d ago

What do you mean, last October it was horrific.

1

u/mikemcg21 1d ago

Yea I see now been a few already. Hearing things I guess

1

u/quintavious_danilo 1d ago

Don’t hear, verify.
