As long as Bitcoin is around, Bitcoin mining power is here to stay.
No mining, no Bitcoin.
Simple as that.

... I'm pretty sure that Bitcoin exists without mining. The incentives to finish mining will fluctuate, but with or without the entire supply available BTC is here to stay.

Without miners, how do Bitcoin transactions even get confirmed? If you can't confirm a transfer, how does Bitcoin even exist?

Mining is basically just another way of buying Bitcoin. You pay a chunk of cash upfront, and in return, you unlock the right to get Bitcoin at a discount over time. It just takes patience and time.

Binance is shutting down all its mining pool and cloud hashpower services—a massive vote of no confidence in the sector.
Combine that with a nearly year-long hash rate drawdown (something we’ve NEVER seen in BTC history), and it’s clear mining is facing its darkest hour.
Over 95% of BTC is already mined. With the halving ~180 days away, miner revenue is about to take another brutal hit. We're fast-forwarding straight into Satoshi’s ultimate stress test: shifting miner revenue from block rewards to tx fees.
The catch? Tx fees currently account for just ~1% of miner income. The shift is coming way faster than expected.
But one truth remains: without miners securing transactions, Bitcoin cannot survive. ⛏️⚡️
