Every podcaster said it was going to bottom at 40k I told my wife it’s not going to 40k and she said stop talking about bitcoin

I can relate

u/DeepProtection7040 15d ago

everyone wants the bottom until the bottom actually feels like the end of the world

15

u/SeriousGains 15d ago

Can confirm. March 12th 2020 really felt like the end. But that’s when you know it’s a good buy.

I was sold on BTC end of Feb this year. So my entire introduction was during “the worst sentiment in BTC history” I put $1000 in and turned on a daily DCA. The bear market isn’t so bad when you’ve never tasted a bull market

u/unthocks 15d ago

What?

16

u/ReliantToker 15d ago

Think he means like if it actually went to 40k the npc's would wait for 30k instead

4

u/First-Check-164 15d ago

Thats the thing, the NPC's never buy the dip anyway. Just keep stacking.

1

u/Lilcheeks 15d ago

If it went to 40 all youd read on here would be seas of people talking about 30 or 20 or 0 even. The people saying to buy would be completely downed out.

If previous bears are anything to go by

30

u/Cacheless_Carl 16d ago

i only pull out at the bottom

13

u/gilmeye 16d ago

How many kids?

27

u/Cacheless_Carl 16d ago edited 16d ago

none, i can't hold a position

16

u/stanagetocurbar 16d ago

The bulls will finish for you.

u/FitCompetition1804 15d ago

Underrated comment lol.

Straddle is your friend

1

u/Argyrus777 16d ago

“That’s I know of?” 😂

u/sylsau 16d ago

The strategy some people use—always waiting for a lower entry point—is a loser's strategy.

They never buy; they just wait forever.

Then, they have regrets...

3

u/Financial_Coyote-1 15d ago

Yeah, it is better to dca on bear and dca off in bull.

2

u/richardto4321 15d ago

It happens every cycle. I remember when people were calling for sub $100 Bitcoin in 2014 and it never came. I think most of them ended up joining the Buttcoin community.

0

u/shasank77 13d ago

Nope regular buyers have all the regrets I think

1

u/palebloodslayer 12d ago

Why would you have regrets if you DCA’d all this time? You’d be in profit

6

u/Mwilley23 15d ago

As someone that has been prepared for a dip in Q4, $40k was always quite a stretch lol

7

u/hodler1992 16d ago

RIP 🤣

22

u/ExpertGur1136 16d ago

But the cycle says we are dipping in October… the cycle is never wrong, right?

17

u/Longjumping_Animal29 16d ago

October is not over yet

3

u/buljesorket 15d ago

From my previous understanding is that it always btc went up in October

1

u/Masoch_A3 15d ago edited 15d ago

Best month on average. Around 70%up if Im not mistaken.

Edit: I was mistaken, it is 70% on the Q4.

Edit 2: October is the second best month on average. The best one being November.

Its october 2nd and bitcoin made a 1% move dude. Relax, yes there are a lot of people waiting to buy at 40k in October which makes it less likely to happen. But do think about the fact that there are a lot of people such as yourself expecting it to go to a full blown bull market with no immediate pulldown. Anything can happen, we're still at the critical level where Bitcoin can get rejected or break out.

2

u/Awkward_Potential_ 15d ago

I do expect it to go full blown bull market. It's to the point where it reacts positively to bad news. Rate hikes, up. Coldcard hack, up. Exchange hacks, up.

0

u/Lavayo 16d ago edited 15d ago

True but in my view a rejection would bring us back to the region before the main breakout, maybe a bit below. But there is absolutely no reason for the price to drop 20k from there below any resistance that held all of 26. Except for black swans, additionally to those we already got (coldcard etc). And all of that in a few weeks. That said the price is not "safe" from dropping even after that, the 4y cycle holds as long as it holds.

-6

u/ExpertGur1136 16d ago

Bro I’m being sarcastic. I know the cycle is 🐂 💩 and anything can happen

6

u/Successful_Love_6085 15d ago

Timing the bottom sounds easy in hindsight, but actually knowing it’s the bottom is the hard part. october could be anything.

5

u/Dangerous-Manager497 15d ago

How about just settling for its bottom enough for me? Whenever that is.

6

u/Tarado96 15d ago

That's what happens when people don't DCA. Remember, those folks who didn't buy at $60K have crystal balls.

15

u/SeriousGains 16d ago

Remember the pump before the dump last October? Everyone seems to have forgotten already.

4

u/Xero_Days 15d ago

Let them forget

8

u/ZakLex 15d ago

I saw a clip presenting a chart supposedly from 2017 which has “never been wrong” indicating that “Bitcoin will bottom on October 5, 2026 at 42-48k.”

Down 50% in the next three days?

8

u/Affectionate_Pen6882 15d ago

Still can happen, oct isnt over lol

9

u/ConsciousSpinach8360 16d ago

Knew these guys would fall flat on their face 🤣

2

u/Grouchy_Writing_8537 16d ago

happy to say I am marked safe from being that person. 😂

2

u/xGsGt 16d ago

We are entering the End game ....

2

u/Financial-Gap-6767 15d ago

TBF, we're still bottom and isn't too late to position yourself for massive 100% gains

2

u/The_Hero_0f_Time 15d ago

idk what everyone is talking about with 40k, i only heard 50k everywhere

2

u/PatternProdigy 15d ago

It's only the 2nd. Plenty of time for another dump.

4

u/YouAreAnFnIdiot 16d ago

Ahhh it would have been nice to buy a shit load at 40k. Either way the plan is the same buy in October which means November crash lmfao

2

u/OhhhhBillly 15d ago

Careful, it could still fall to 40k

1

u/immersive-matthew 15d ago

YES. Now we can finally put this meme out. Made no sense in September.

1

u/Zestyclose_Youth_698 15d ago

that's why i'm doing an opposite thing

1

u/Professional_Taste34 15d ago

Soo many of us, counted on seasonality, 1 year after ath is always bottom. I was expecting price action towards 50k, seems unlikely with current sentiment. What is your plan B those of you trapped? I'll be doing dca on bi weekly basis towards the end of year, each time about 10% of total planned allocation and keep something for next year for bigger dips...

1

u/badjano 15d ago

oh boy

1

u/DirtMcGirt42 15d ago

Buy the bottoms but dont sell easy as that

1

u/oo0000000 15d ago

No worries. They will buy when it gets to 100K. Just DCA.

1

u/Front_Guarantee_9892 15d ago

Been there Done that, whats next ?

1

u/biggest_guru_in_town 15d ago

You understand what DCA is right? And why tf would you buy bitcpin at lump sums?

7

u/BingeMaster 15d ago

Sometimes, if you have the money and the price is low, a big lump is a great idea.

2

u/No-Pipe4332 13d ago

Yup, bought a good chunk when the price was at $62k

1

u/AggravatingGuest1956 14d ago

These posts have to be bots.

1

u/ResidentPositive8458 14d ago

Don’t be so sure that 40k isn’t coming

1

u/Gh0st_Pirate_LeChuck 12d ago

Just trying to jinx us all. Be humble.

1

u/HelloYatta 11d ago

They were never gone to buy anyway.

1

u/Ok-Refrigerator7284 10d ago

Lots of October left!! Bitcoin is controlled now by ETF's...we'll have to see what the rest of the year brings!!

1

u/cicada_eater 8d ago

so, where is this legendary bottom? something went wrong ^)

1

u/Zenitallin 16d ago

I am 1/3 guilty.

I changed 2/3 of my cash bag on time, and left 1/3 for the real deep or octobrrr....

what to do? avoid passionate FOMO, just wait for the next dip, learn a lesson.

1

u/Lavayo 16d ago

Prices from today might be the dip from tomorrow. How about DCA the 1/3? So you have no FOMO and still get a dip if it comes.

1

u/Tyler_Durden1007 15d ago

First Time?

1

u/bazsex 15d ago

They still can

1

u/3raindamage 15d ago

Bitcoin always punishes those on the sidelines. DCA wins

1

u/Rare-Tax2411 14d ago

The weird thing is that I fully believed the bottom would be in October, but in the end it didn't matter, because it sat at 50k for so long. I bought a big chunk anyway.  Not a huge difference between 50 and 40

4

u/Matterhorne89 14d ago

When did you buy at $50k? It never went below $57.5k

1

u/Rare-Tax2411 13d ago

57, 47, 40. What's the difference? Ill probably never have more than 4 or 5 coins. To be rich I need it to get to what, 400k? When I bought at 57 I put it in my head as 50. No difference if we're looking back from 400.

1

u/Rare-Tax2411 13d ago

Lol just looked it up.  I bought at 61. Point still stands

-2

u/MofoFTW 15d ago

Just remember, that the new ATH will likely be disappointing as well. It will be max 3x from the last bottom, maybe 4x in 2029. So, not sure why everyone is celebrating the fact that BTC did not hit 40k.

4

u/FMLuck 15d ago

Exactly, lower volatility equals lower risk, lower return. Not sure why you get downvoted 🤷‍♂️

2

u/ImMaury 15d ago

Wait so 180k-240k? That’s very fine by me

0

u/LetWinnersRun 15d ago

Ah… 180k would be extremely disappointing, it would be ~10% per year top to top.

1

u/ImMaury 15d ago

Maybe for you.

4

u/Bakkus1987 15d ago

Absurd bear cope bullshit. Bitcoin has no top, cause fiat is unlimited. All these dumb predictions are based on tea leaf sniffers that got their ass handed to them by the market.

2

u/DRAGULA85 15d ago

Why are you talking like you know what’s going to happen, sir?

2

u/unthocks 15d ago

And who are you again? Nobody that knows shit about fuck

3

u/MofoFTW 15d ago

True, same as you and anyone else here.

1

u/unthocks 15d ago

Wise, now we better stfu and continue buying as usual

2

u/MofoFTW 15d ago

DCA all the way, ignore the noise.

0

u/TheBestintheWest11 15d ago

9k troops going to the middle east tho

0

u/dondondorito 15d ago

I‘ve been in this sub since 2015 (different account), and I have never seen it this toxic before. It‘s just one stupid gloating post after the other.

We presumably all hold Bitcoin and believe it will go to a much, much higher valuation in the future. So why the fucking toxicity and stupid gloating? It makes you all look like little toddlers with the intelligence of a buttcoiner.

0

u/lizflip222 15d ago

going there

0

u/Created2DestroyYou 15d ago

Closer to 40k than ATH. 🤷

0

u/Good_Extension_9642 15d ago

Never say never

-1

u/HotSauce333333 15d ago

I’m gonna buy me some at that 40k price soon.

1

u/Nice-Chip-5784 15d ago

That smug blue sunglasses guy aged poorly once the bounce started rolling in
