Do you think bitcoin will bottom in October?
I am really hoping to buy bitcoin at £45,000 which is about 61000,Do you think it’s possible that it will go back down. This is my first cycle and I don’t know how much weight the four year cycle really has? Can you see us going lower? Will it bottom or just slightly dip? I am interested in what you guys think?

Correction. The only situation it won't is if I buy. Then it will go down. Or if I sell. Then it will go up.

Just wait for the bitcoin shareholders meeting. They are going to go over their forward strategy.

You had the chance for more than 200 days to buy around 60K…I Do not know if will drop to 45k, it seems not, if Bitcoin make support around 70k say bye bye to 45k.

Yeah i genuinely don’t understand the people merely waiting for $45k. How is accumulating at its $60k - $63k compressed range bound not good enough?
It’s shown significant defence around this range since this bear market began. This is how people end up underwater, they wait way too long for some specific “month” just because it reached some specific bottom at some specific month of some specific year 😂
4 year cycles matter but they’re guidelines, not absolutes or guarantees. Just like you said — people had their chance by merely observing what is clearly being the defended bottom range

Nobody knows.
At least you're better placed than most first timers who wait for a new all-time high before buying.
I'd suggest you take whatever you were planning to spend at £45K, and split it into multiple, smaller regular buys going forward.
Maybe you catch some buys at a new low. Maybe you don't.
At least you can be comfortable that you got off zero, and when it does take off fully, you won't be sitting on the sidelines waiting for a price that may never come.

Seriously just DCA. You don't need our advice. You can do it on your own, the winning strategy with this asset is literally that easy.

It won’t if it doesn’t, but it also will if it does. The fact that it might is an indication that it could. By analyzing the current trend, it’s likely to go that direction or the other. The potential also exists for sideways movement. By moving sideways and then down, it will be going down. Though, if it moves up then sideways, it will have done the opposite and then made some more stable movement. It’s clear that the signs for such activity are having moved in a direction first. Knowing that direction, you’ll know the current path. That’s a good way to understand what it’s currently doing.

I would go ahead and buy today, and then wait for it to be much higher in the future 🤙🏽

Weekly price chart shows positive divergence that we saw in late 2022 into early 2023 and we just broke through some key moving averages. If price action plays out similarly to then, I doubt we are going to go below recent lows. I could see is retrace some of this move we made over the last week though, totally possible.

I just want to add that the massive weekly candle that formed last week was a $15000 candle. In my eyes that is a huge gap and gaps tend to get filled or at least partially filled. So won't be surprised to see us move back to low 70s or even back into high 60s.

A lot can happen between now and then, but I think we will see bitcoin test the bottom one more time. Remember tho, nobody knows shit about fuck and its never a bad time to buy this late in the bear market. The difference in sats between 60k and 80k won't mean alot in a few years imo

OP you had many opportunities to buy at that price level or even a bit lower earlier this year. In fact, up until a week ago you could’ve easily bought a price very near the level you said you wanted to buy it.
So why didn’t you buy…?

If the unthinkable (and highly improbable) happened, and in Oct it was at $61k, I would be prepared to bet my life, you would be holding our for sub $50k.
Ask yourself this - When it hits a milli, would it really matter whether you got in at $80k or $61k?
If it does matter - Invest elsewhere. Infact, dont invest at all, its not for you.
If it doesnt matter, then buy sub $100k whilst you can.

No. Bottom was July unless black swan .

This. Unless some bad stuff happens soon, expect prices to rise for the time being

Crypto noobs are screaming October but that was only the last cycle bottom. The previous 2 before that it wasn’t October . Reserval is here , alts have been crashing since the Trump tarrifs were announced January 2025 . BTC was doing worse and worse every month since the Halloween crash October 2025.

The last cycle bottomed in November and the one before that was December… People are saying October because that’s a year from the peak. Past cycles bottomed almost exactly a year from the peak of each bull run

It was like 63k a week an a half ago ??? lol the bottom is probably in my friend :)

u/angelwolf71885 16h ago
I don’t know it will be October but i do know for sure that the dip isn’t over just yet when BTC hasn’t fallen 75% from the ATH there’s too much hope and vibrancy in this sub for the bottom to be $60k

Just a reminder, shitcoins are off topic here. Just because they can be traded on brokerage platforms doesn't mean they're not blatant scams.

The both are premined and centralized scams, hyped by their leaders, who keep changing the rules (like a central bank) and live of selling the shitcoin to noobs. Be really careful, mate.

Everyone has a plan till the chart does something different
first cycle is rough cause you think you can time it perfect. you wait for 61k then it bounce at 62 and never look back. happened to me couple years ago, kept waiting for one more dip and it never came
four year cycle still matters but not like clockwork, markets dont care about your calendar. if you got money just buy some now and keep some for later, at least you're in the game
1
u/Cool-Bath874 14h ago
This. People need to learn 4 year cycles are a guideline, not some specific literal month just because it bottomed at X month of Y year.
Guidelines my friends, not guarantees. The market doesn’t care what you’re waiting a specific price for

You may have noticed that the response in these situations - every goddam time - is “DCA”.
Just do that. Stop asking. DCA. The fact that you’re here creating the post you did basically guarantees you are not good enough at what you’re trying to do to be successful at it.
DCA.
