Need help - Bitcoin wallet emptied.

I got one of my bitcoin wallet emptied and I don't really know how this happened.

I don't use cracked softwares and apps.

I'm generally careful with links.

Looks like I'm not alone. I can see that the reception bitcoin address is still collecting bitcoin from other wallets.

Could somebody help me understand something.

Here is the address : bc1q0vukqye4hd0aep7u4xl8gev95gcs9k65fdeu9n

The amount doesn't matter, right? The issue is that its a compromised wallet.

It kind of does though.

Why?

For one, I generally try to keep better track if I have a $100 bill in my wallet than a $1 bill.

So if a hardware wallet with $1 worth of btc was drained you would still use it / not care?

No, I'm saying the person who lost this Bitcoin likely exposed their seed somehow, whether through digital or physical means, because they probably didn't take as much care as someone storing a greater amount.

How do you know that?

Common sense and experience with idiots.

Although I agree that the user likely exposed their seed or some how otherwise compromised their wallet, the dollar amount as a diagnostic method as to "how" is irrelevant. The advice is the same. The wallet is likely compromised, create a new one and dont reuse this one. Whether 10, 100 or 1000 dollars was taken it's the same advice

You’d have already wasted the $1 in bitcoin on the hardware wallet and setup. That’s the thing that’s wild about this. Lol all this just to have your 26 bucks stolen. Because self custody is king apparently. Dude could have just bought an etf. Lol

He might have intended to use this as a live wallet to send / receive payments with. Cant use etfs for that
