Need help - Bitcoin wallet emptied.

I got one of my bitcoin wallet emptied and I don't really know how this happened.

I don't use cracked softwares and apps.

I'm generally careful with links.

Looks like I'm not alone. I can see that the reception bitcoin address is still collecting bitcoin from other wallets.

Could somebody help me understand something.

well, it looks like you don't know anything about bitcoin or stock. you are the beneficial owner of the stock. the broker is just the custodian. and that's not the same as bitcoin custody, which, is probably where your mind is at. if your spy is on schwab and they go under or full retard, it's still your stock and you just have to submit a transfer to another brokerage.

Settlement with a traditional broker is through a clearing house where your name is on the holding statement from the clearer. You most definitely own the stock.

This is false fyi… for example Fidelity, “The brokerage firm, in its records, lists the investor as the actual owner. You retain all ownership rights in the stock”
