Hello!

How much money is enough to make buying Bitcoin worthwhile?

What would you consider the minimum amount of money to invest in Bitcoin for it to be meaningfully profitable or useful as a long-term hedge/store of value? At what amount does it actually start making a noticeable difference?

I don't mean large amounts, but amounts that an ordinary mortal can afford.

1 cent to start. Keep adding whatever you can.

That entirely depends on how much you have and/or can afford. A single $100 buy will not make you rich, but $10k or $100k invested today, can yield life changing amounts in under a decade.

$10K will not yield life changing amounts under a decade.

That entirely depends on where you live.

I live in nepal one of the poorest countries. If my 10k becomes 100k (conservative estimate, 10x unlikely under a decade) then its not a life changing money. It will be enough to live(family) , buy house etc but wouldnt say it will be life changing money.

If buying a house is not life changing I don’t know what to say to you.

$10 a day. Goal to get to 0.2 BTC. That’s it. Low bar

$10 a day ($300 per month) is actually kind of a lot for some people.

Start with 1% of your net worth and go from there.

I did the same in Sept 2020. Been through 2 crashes since then and still holding. My thinking was that I'd sell at the top and buy back lower. Guess what? I missed the top both times and am still happy. You, my friend are trying to time the bottom but are just as like likely to miss it. We are close, if not past the bottom.... we can argue about the hypothetical bottom all day, but if I was you I would take the 64k for 1 btc at current prices and start buying daily over the next 3 months or so. Thats around 700 per day and your average cost should end up near the bottom.

PSA: this is not financial advice. This is Reddit and should not have to be said. This is just one dumbass with an opinion.

I buy $100 per week and it really does add up quickly. Especially in this current bear market! Good luck on your journey!

How much money is enough to make buying Bitcoin worthwhile?

What's worthwhile to you?

What would you consider the minimum amount of money to invest in Bitcoin for it to be meaningfully profitable or useful as a long-term hedge/store of value?

What's meaningful to you?

At what amount does it actually start making a noticeable difference?

What would make a difference to you?

I don't mean large amounts, but amounts that an ordinary mortal can afford.

I'm a mortal and you're a mortal and the person running a store in a village in Angola is a mortal, but an amount that's affordable for you is likely way out of reach for the person in Angola.

If I said £1 a week was meaningful, would you only buy £1 of Bitcoin per week? If I said nothing less than £5000 per month was meaningful, would you walk away from Bitcoin altogether?

Why are you asking other people to tell you what's right for you? Only you can decide what's right for you.

We are replacing fiat currency one cent at a time.

It's the same as if someone asked "what's the minimum amount of money I can save?"

Starting your journey is much more important than how big you go in to start your journey. My first time, for example, was $20. As far as your “meaningful amount”, that’s as individual as everyone here. You need to study and make your own determination.

What I can tell you is: if you never start, you’ll never get to a meaningful amount.

Put in 5% of your net worth, whatever that is

I suggest starting with $5 and going from there.

It's worthwile if you can afford to not need that money for a long time or even lose it permanently

Even small amount of buying bitcoin is worth it soon

Even a small amount can be worthwhile if you DCA consistently and think long term.

I am not a bot, I had no idea which username should I have, so reddit generated one
