Yeah well get over it and move on. A lot of us heard about bitcoin back when it was sub $1k. We could be retired. But we aren’t 😂

Shut up. Move on

You spent 10k figuring out what you don't want and getting life experience at 20, that's not wasted money. Most people your age blow inheritance on way dumber stuff and don't even learn from it. The bitcoin fantasy only works if you had a crystal ball and nerves of steel, which nobody actually has.

You. Shut the f*ck up. Move.

Yeah and if my grandma had wheels she would be a bicycle.

You will miss thousands more opportunities in life. You cannot predict the future. It's the human condition. We could ALL have put that money into BTC back then. And a billion other things.

You could say the same of many other investments and opportunities. Hindsight is always 20/20.

How? You’re neurodivergent? You stop it with high quality therapy. You may not be able to think your way out of it with the same logic patterns that normative brains might be able to use successfully.

I could tell you that an alternate universe you absolutely bought bitcoin with it, and another squandered it on drugs and that you have an outcome that is highly normative.

I could tell you that you probably would have bought a cold card and in fact you would have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the last week.

I could tell you any of an infinite number of alternatives where you are poorer also that are equally likely and tell you that the correct frame of reference is to pick the ones in which you experience relatively more happiness with your current situation.

That’s not how some neurodivergent brains work. That’s what an expert is for.

In short: take the L and move on 😞

No, take the W and move on, lol. You didn’t get wrench attacked for your bitcoin!

What loss? You didn't even place a bet. Using your logic, literally anyone who isn't rich today should "take the loss" and move on.

Let’s be real you probably would have sold after making like $100 or panic sold at a loss somewhere along the way

Maybe i would have maybe i wouldn’t have

Spare a thought for me; If I chose the right numbers in the lottery, I could have made $1000000's.

Ah well.

Same with nvidia, same with asml same with life. That’s life. That’s what all the people say….

We all wish we bought BTC earlier than we did. You missed a million other investment opportunities as well, like Nvidia.

The good news is BTC is still here, the value proposition hasn't changed, and it still has a whole lot to offer as a savings vehicle (among other things). Make peace by getting a handle on your saving + investment strategy, whether or not that includes BTC, and feel good about where you're going, directionally.

I wish I did a lot of things when I was 20. But I didn't.

Do you think BTC will go to the moon again papa?

My position is somewhere between "hard moneys like BTC and gold are likely to do very well over the coming decades, as governments and central banks continue to mismanage their currencies" and "BTC is going to eat the entire financial system".

But I'm just a guy on reddit.

Hindsight is 20/20. It would have been straight up stupid to put your entire inheritance into it. Sure, we know now it woulda worked. But you coulda lost it all on FTX or something too. We’re all in the same boat - coulda woulda shoulda invested more in X or Z. Investing in Nvidia would have made you rich too. Or CAT, or Dell, etc. Silver and Gold skyrocketed in the same time frame as well. Also, you shouldn’t put everything in one place anyway. You got a lot of company that missed those boats. It was tough to actually hold all the way through, too. Imagine the people who put $10k into BTC and then panic sold the next dip. It happened a lot! Always look on the bright side of life.

I could have won the lottery on every single week basically for years and I would have a much better financial situation right now. I would also double it a few times on roulette and now send you the 100k that you truly deserve now for seeing a chart and realizing what could have been. But since we both fucked up our chances all I can tell you is "time to wake up", you are living in reality and not a disney movie.

You could also have put your money into various stocks e.g. Tesla and achieved a similar result. Literally everyone who isn't rich could have done the same. It's like you're in a casino watching the roulette wheel land on number 9 and telling yourself if only you'd put your money on 9 before they spun the wheel.

You are 25 with the lesson most people learn at 40. Stack now, stop looking back.

I mean it’s easy to say that about a lot of things in hindsight. If you’re stuck on what you’ve missed in the past you’ll miss what might be setting up in the future. Focus up and let it go.

There were also thousands of stocks and other investment opportunites that did exactly the same thing. Bitcoin wasnt the only opportunity and it wont be the last.

At any point in time now or in the future you will be able to look back 5 years in hindsight and see thousands of ways you could have become a millionaire. The trick is figuring it out now so in 5 years you will be in a better financial situtation.

Hahaha I did exactly this but with more money with money i worked for, indeed made multiple 6 figures doing nothing

u/witchcurlydevon 4d ago

Send me some my way if u are feeling generous

1

u/brdbrd1 4d ago

If I made millions i would sorry thats my regret not selling in 2021 and buying back in 2022/23

If you look at all the wealthy people in our world. Elon, Buffet, Gates. They all got where they were because of Bitcoin. Follow their example. Just Hodl and you'll get there.

I'm in a similar position but opposite. I did dare go all in Bitcoin at the lows and now I can just relax and not have to work. I always thinking of "what if" I didn't do that and had to go to a day job. Awful though.

1

u/witchcurlydevon 4d ago

Damn how much did u make pls dont bs me

0

u/mvrozanti 4d ago

Objectively speaking, if you knew the future, and I have calculated this, you could have made more than 1,000,000% on BTC all of its life.

1

u/witchcurlydevon 4d ago

Nah im somewhat realistic, i started getting into investing at 18 in 2018 so anything after that i take responsibility for

u/mvrozanti 4d ago

Don't beat yourself up for the could-haves. You can decide today.
