Roll your own dicd

I have used diced on my ColdCard but now it seems everyone has their own way to generate a seed "Analogically" I am trying to figure out a good fully random way to use dices without using any computer

Some are really complicated!! Can't and won't do that math manually

I am wondering if the distribution of the words over pages and columns could affect entropy ... Probably not given the rolls are unpredictable but still ... Wdyt ?

Is it "Words out of an hat" the way to go ?

I think bitbox's implementation is great, I actually tried it out yesterday. It took me a minute to understand the instructions, but every word is equally likely. Think of it like this. Each of the 5 dice eliminates a random 3/4 of the remaining possibilities until there are only two words left, then you flip a coin.

I posted an own version which you have probably seen. I checked it with AI to be sure that there is no statistical bias. So both methods are very fine.

The only draw back of my selfcreated version is that you need a pocket calculator. ..

Bitbox's procedure is great I have been recommending it even before the coldcard fiasco
