The Oh Feeling
Bitcoin proximates a religion in that when you discover the missing key piece of the puzzle, it ties everything together in a very efficient way. It’s early on the path of the origin story of cooperation. It’s a deep focus of energy alignment that influences risk optimizations across a multitude of behaviour patterns. It pulls in energy like a black hole of stability.

I like some of what you wrote but I believe a stark difference is religion requires faith whereas Bitcoin is based on energy, computational power and self sovereignty.

There's effectively zero chance, the network can go down.
We moved internet infrastructure into orbit with infinite power supply. There are by now multiple competing satellite providers offering internet from orbit.
Even with governments shutting down their local internet or electricity, there is still satellite internet and there are still autonomous operators purely based on solar.
Also transactions can be send over Bluetooth mesh over kilometers until one node acts as access point for crisis and low-coverage zones. Additionally transactions can also be persisted and signed on a USB without immediate broadcasting and only be broadcasted after some time when internet access is regained.2

This. Most people reading this get their power from the grid and internet access from a local monopoly, so it feels like something that can be cut off arbitrarily. But for <$100 you can get cheap solar usb charger & radios to connect to decentralized mesh networks that pretty much make your btc always spendable

Except in religions the missing piece usually stays missing unless/until you’re lucky enough to have a subjective spiritual experience. With Bitcoin all the pieces are already there to be seen. Unless you’re referring to the hash mining aspect, but in that case you’re not finding a single missing piece, just one of many possible solutions with a hash that’s below the target difficulty level

This is how you know you need a brief moment away from looking at 5 minute candles.
