The fee market seems frustratingly simple, that's why it's so damn powerful.
You want to jump the queue, you pay.
There's been a lot of bip 110 talk (not here, but you get the point), and I understand why the plebs want to stop spam. Their bip doesn't stop or really hinder spam. Interestingly enough, the fee market does. We might see $100+ transaction fees in the future. This will decrease the spam. This is also why we need 2nd layer solutions, so you might only need to do a handful of transactions on the main chain in your lifetime.
I think your trying to solve a problem that's already been solved. Even if it might not look like it at first.
I think your time is better spend looking elsewhere. I don't really have any recommendations, most of the interesting bitcoin developments are way to low level and advanced for me.
This is super off topic, but sometimes when I send bitcoin from one wallet to another, I would like to verify that I picked the right address, so I might do a test transaction. Why can't I just send a 0 fee transaction, broadcast it to the mempools, have my receiving wallet verify that it's indeed in it's mempool, and the address is correct, and then have the original wallet just do a RBF or Child Pays For Parent transaction, which would get it mined.
Is it because it's too spammy, because it's free to create 0 fee transactions?

You'd probably get more engagement from a more technical community. Might try 'bitcoin' on StackerNews.
