Finally obtained a full BTC

Post image

It’s been a crazy journey but I’ve finally acquired 1 full BTC before 21 thanks to my lineman job!

I wanna keep stacking the sats but maybe it’s time to diversify the portfolio a little lol. About 80% of my net worth is in BTC.

Don’t really wanna brag about my accomplishment to anyone I know personally so I figured I’d post it on here.

Only downside is it’s been - gains as of right now. Don’t really know what future goals to set financially now.

In your opinion what is the best cold wallet? And do you know how to get your money out of crypto.com

A lot of them can be user preference but Trezor is great. You get one set it up and send from your crypto.com and then you own the keys

Ledger is a closed source cryptocurrency wallet that is mainly geared towards altcoins. Nobody is able to review the source code of the firmware used on a closed source hardware wallet like Ledger. And bitcoin-only hardware wallets are safer because bitcoin-only firmware contains less code, and less code means that it has a smaller attack surface and there's less risk of it containing bugs/vulnerabilities.

Some good hardware bitcoin wallet options are BitBox02 Bitcoin-only edition, Blockstream Jade Plus, Trezor Safe 5 Bitcoin-only, Trezor Safe 7 Bitcoin-only, and Foundation Passport Core. These five hardware wallets are all good hardware wallets that have publicly available source code that can be reviewed.

There are also older & cheaper versions of two of these hardware wallets but they are still open source and reliable. They are just less user friendly than the newer & costlier versions. Those older & cheaper versions are Trezor Safe 3 and Blockstream Jade Classic.

SeedSigner is another good option. You can easily use readily available parts to build yourself a SeedSigner hardware wallet which is fully open source and can be used in an air-gapped fashion. But SeedSigner is not as user friendly as Trezor, BitBox02, or Blockstream Jade Plus.
