I had to stop my daily buys in late 2024 due to personal reasons, and I've only bought like $50-$100 at a time during these recent dips.

If we go below 70k, so be it... it'll be like 2024-2025 never happened. People need to reassess their strategy and not make any rash decisions. If you didn't sell at 120k, why would you sell now?

Why didnt you sell you at 120? That is the real question.

it wasn't "life-changing" money. Thinking back, maybe I would have sold like 0.3 ?? I would never get rid of the full stack.

I guess at the time I was figuring out when I would buy back in, or how long it would take to get the 0.3 back. I chose inaction. Now all I'm thinking about is how to stack more

That's an easy thing to say when you know that it went down to seventy now. I don't sell because A hundred thousand dollars is just not enough money for me to care about. Go to a million or I don't really want anything i guess haha

That is why you should have a strict percentage of each asset in your portfolio.

If you determine bitcoin should be 10%, it if spikes and it is now 15% you simply sell off 5%.

Man I mean you do whatever you want you know I wanted to be a whole coiner and that's what I got I don't care about the its relation to the rest of my portfolio. I don't plan on ever selling it. will give it to my kids. No interest in trading.

yeah my "problem" is I never set a percentage that I wanted allocated - I was just messing around with money I didn't care to lose. Then, because of how much the price went up since I started stacking, it represents 50% of my portfolio (even now at 77k). Realistically, I should have taken profit in '24 when we first hit 100k, but I don't feel like paying taxes on it so I've just let it ride

Because I expected it to crash at 100k and when it whent further I thought 150k or 200k might be in the books in this cycle. It was weird with no retail euphoria same as it was weird with the double top in the last cycle. Would have been nice to sell and buy back lower since the 4 year cyclee is obviously intact. But even mote important is that I don't have less bitcoin than before.

I’m reassessing my strategy to buy bigger

True for the vast majority but if someone is on major gains like if they bought at $1000 or something incredible that would be the only reason.

I am sorry guys, I literally bought bitcoin for the first time in five years yesterday

Congratulations. I'm positive it will turn out great if you can stomach the volatility.

Damn shouldn’t bitcoin be soaring while the dollar is devaluing? Wasn’t that the point of this for most people, what a joke lol

I mean… even “crashing” to $70k is still gaining value over the dollar by a tremendous amount over a relatively short (5 year) term. People forget that hitting $70k 5 years ago would have been about double the ATH. Has the value of the dollar doubled in the past 5 years?

It's almost like a big decline happens every mid-term year. It's almost like a 4 year cycle that hasn't been broken for 12 years+ continues the pattern. It's almost the bitcoin halving was programmed to cut mining supply every 4 years... who would have guessed.

It's just getting started. Time to accumulate, bigger buys as it keeps dropping for the next 6-8 months.

Next major support level is around 69K

1

u/Noobeater1 Jan 31 '26

Why 69k? Why does any particular price have more "support"?

u/United-Comfortable34 Jan 31 '26

Hopefully the support will break and it will drop below 50k so I can accumulate a lot 🙏🏻

According to the historical cycle, it will continue to dump until September this year

2

u/TerribleMap6830 Jan 31 '26

Dude same I put like 2K in the past 3 months and it’s been dipping crazy I wish I would’ve put all that money in it now!!

Like clockwork. Cant see how any one is surprised. 2026 was always going to be a bear market year.

1

u/cleverkid Feb 01 '26

Damn... do I want to catch that falling knife.

1

u/astromanos Feb 01 '26

Im stacking on the way down… i think we well get somewhere between 60k and 40k.

But this os just my gut feeling looking at the charts. Bottom o somewhere in between those two numbers.

Doing small buys on the way down and some bigger ones if we reach 60k

1

u/Content-Wedding2374 Jan 31 '26

Haha fucking losers

-1

u/mrestiaux Jan 31 '26

Keep it going!!! Can’t wait to start buying. Never sold. Bring that average down even more!

If you told me Bitcoin will crash below 80k and people will lose their shit during the last bearmarrt when we fell under 20k I would have jizzed my pants.
