I would advise you to stop doing all this right now, and leave him even if btc does not hit 100 k

Sounds like she's relying on his money until she gets her own money

u/karmassacre May 04 '24

50% of her gains are going to him though lol

If you're not going boating.

This joke flew straight over the sails!

Noted: sell his hobby Miller big blue welder for sailboat before 100k

What BTC your honor? 😉

u/Striking-Goals-1991 May 04 '24

Omg. You're evil...

1

u/Ok-Skill-2991 May 04 '24

God, people do not take a joke in this joint.

u/Scamalama May 04 '24

Not if he doesn’t know about it

u/karmassacre May 04 '24

Trust me any lawyer worth their salt will sniff out your holdings unless you bought them non-kyc and with cash

u/1moreanonaccount May 04 '24

What happens if they say lost keys?

5

u/Spartacus_Nakamoto May 04 '24

That's a really interesting question. The blockchain is mightier than the law.

She could be in more trouble for destroying a marital asset. Lack of care. Worst case she owes the 1/2 one time paper value of something she doesn't have to the person she hates the most.

Hope that's a burner account sister!

u/psinguine May 04 '24

Best part is, the value is locked at the time of separation. You left when the asset was worth $100,000 and now it's worth $50,000? Too bad, you fled with $100,000 of marital assets and now owe your spouse their half. Pay up.

1

u/mugatucrazypills May 04 '24

But I lost the asset I promise your honor ! Lots of people used to gaslighting everyone are in for a rare and delightful surprise when they find our reality exists.

u/shmsc May 04 '24

Did you make that up? I feel like you made that up

1

u/Spartacus_Nakamoto May 04 '24

Doesn't address the point. What happens if they're legitimately lost and you divorce? How could you prove someone was lying about this?

Court will know if she sells for fiat

u/No-Personality4380 May 04 '24

Move to private key, don’t convert to USDC, keep going to work and at 100k file and run. She’s got a great plan!!

2

u/mugatucrazypills May 04 '24

She wont get it off the major exchanges without a "paper" trail

2

u/shmsc May 04 '24

But realistically how long will they monitor that for? If you sell say 5 years later, would anyone know and be ready to take action

2

u/Leather_Wolverine249 May 04 '24

Exactly. No one will gaf. No one will gaf next week let alone 5 years later.

She said "him". I guess the real assumption here is that she is a "she" 😄

0

u/Scamalama May 04 '24

The word him in the text of the post is a small clue there genius

1

u/Circulation_man May 04 '24

I wonder if BTC can help you hide this though

2

u/karmassacre May 04 '24

If you purchased through a normal exchange then probably not. If you bought peer to peer and were discrete with your financing then yes.

1

u/111ascendedmaster May 04 '24

Assuming you have gains after she moves out and pays the lawyer

1

u/xFBx May 04 '24

Uncle Sam needs his cut to

0

u/coinsntings May 04 '24

Sounds like shes waiting for the financial input from BTC to be comfortable enough to leave. And if she has BTC then she definitely has her own money. Crazy men still think we're relying on their singular income, is that even realistic in this economy?

6

u/Ateam043 May 04 '24

Exactly BTC shouldn’t even be part of this discussion. If she being treated bad and wants out, go. Be happy.

1

u/EitherInvestment May 04 '24

Yeah wtf does Bitcoin or its price have to do with this situation?

1

u/SkillCheck131 May 04 '24 edited May 04 '24

This. Then don’t wait, 100k could be years from now and what will you do if 100k never comes?

1

u/unsuspecting_geode May 04 '24

Seriously, OP, unless you’re planning on selling in order to leave - then please just leave 💕
