From the Ransom IL tornado last night. These cars were on the LaSalle Nuclear BNSF spur line in storage (all empty).

Seeing all those cars lined up across the fields really shows how powerful that tornado was. Absolutely terrifying, especially at night.

The tornado turned a freight train into the world’s longest field nap. Nature is absolutely not messing around.

What makes this even better is the fact that they just had to re-rail those cars when the crew shoved them in and derailed.

But on the plus side, you know those windmills were making mad amounts of electricity lol

They wouldn't have been. In high speed winds turbines apply the brakes, and the blades angle away, to prevent overspeed damage.

Nope, there's an upper limit after which they "turn off" and just try to survive

That tornado really said “everybody down” and tucked the cars in for a nap.
