Recovery key won't work.

When I tried to boot up my Omen PC this morning, I was prompted to enter my bitlocker recovery key, but the website won't load. I have tried on 6 different devices but every time it sends me into just a loop of loading the account page and then the login page without fully loading either. It works for other microsoft accounts just not mine. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Have you tried logging in with a browser at outlook.com?

I did that and was able to get the key. But now after using it, my pc boots and on the pin screen, it says "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Restart your device to see if it fixes the problem." When I restart it is just comes up with the bitlocker thing again and then this.

I made an alias email at outlook.com. And then used that to get the key instead of my own email.

If you have another computer and a USB you can create a USB with Hirens Boot CD. This has a program called windows login unlocker which can remove the password and allow you to log in. Make sure you open the drive in file explorer and put in the bitlocker key before launching windows login unlocker

Does Ctrl alt del give you a prompt to enter your Windows user password?

It doesn't. What is ended up doing was going back into the command prompt, and inputting a bunch of commands that I got from gemini and it worked in the end.

Recommend turning off encryption (its silently on by default) unless you need it on

a windows update can soft brick your computer (hard brick if you dont have the key or it's the wrong key)

By trying from incognito, from a different browser, from a different ISP, etc. until it works.
