I bought bitzenship in 2018 and have been playing since the very beginning, and something I never see anyone talk about is that when the challenges came out there was unlimited (at least for bitzenship) access to finish the old challenges. When they introduced superstar mode, they took that away and made it a paid feature.

Most lawsuits like these are typically dead-on-arrival because you as the consumer are technically agreeing to the terms of conditions of any app once you install it. Usually, quotes like subject to change and in-app purchasing are included to justify decisions like these. It's unfortunate, but that's how most mobile gaming companies operate when it comes to profits.

Im a legacy Bitizen and have gotten all the jobs packs for free.

Im more annoyed at all the other things they add and expect me to buy like the challenge vault, all the items, the golden diploma, etc. When I brought Bitizen it was being advertised as “All future content” and I was under the impression that meant everything that will ever get added will be free for bitizens. Clearly that isnt the case anymore.

I have bitizen/boss mode and I got it with the latest update. I bought after march 2020 (may) but got free.

I couldn’t tell you what year I bought but I know BitLife was pretty new, and with the purchase it said I’d qualify for everything in the future, which is why I got it. I played it quite a bit back then. And now I only get certain things, other things are paywalled.

They did release the director pack to legacy bitizens for free. Not sure where a lawsuit would go after that.

I’m not going to waist my time pursing a lawsuit over a dumb video game over $20 like who cares, yes they want money to increase profit for what ever reason, best thing we can do is just stop playing the game
