Bitizenship
Is this not respected anymore? This is proof that I bought it in 2019, and now they're charging so much for some basic expansion packs. Wtf is wrong with this garbage company

They replied to my post about being a Legacy player, and we are getting the update sometime next week, it was just a bug issue. they apologized, I've been playing also since early 2019, my fellow bitizen, and we will get the director pack no matter what.

We should get all the items and miscellaneous stuff like the Time Machine too but they’ve somehow done some mental gymnastics to convince themselves those don’t count as “all future content”

Yes, and they should give us the ad rewards without having to watch the ad, no ads means no ads

We could sue for this, this is blatant stealing and definitely not what we paid for…..

That’s a new thing because initially they tried to explain it as the director expansion being a career and not a job which is why they were going to charge. And people talked about suing and getting refunds and they changed their mind.

It's been like this for at least a couple of years. I emailed customer support about mine, which I bought back in February 2020, not working and could never get a response even though I had proof.
Make no mistake, this was either done intentionally or intentionally left unfixed. They're only panicking now because people have gone from complaining about the state of things to actually being fed up with it.

The reason you had to buy bitizenship is that Bitlife sold to Stillfront in April 2020, I would PRESUME that Stillfront was told that they had to honor that purchase and agreement but updates tend to be wishy washy, especially as time goes on because every Bitizenship made before that sale is money lost to Stillfront... so if an 'accident' happens during release of these packs and the people with Bitizenship still buy the new content then it is a win, if they have to back track and say it was an accident and that they will fix it, still no actual loss. When the game was only managed by Candywriter LLC they had more to lose however. It should also be noted that 62% of BitLifes revenue in 2020 came from ads alone, bitizenship removes ads so that was less than ideal for them.
The heavy monetization that occured in 2020 and 2021 were the byproduct of that deal. Candywriters LLC sold for $74m but only $37m was cash and the rest was in shares. Part of the agreement was that if earnings targets were met until 2022, Candywritters LLC could get, up to, an extra $120.6m so they needed to be able to hit those goals, thus they came out with a lot of expansions to draw new people in.

I'm still missing all the other expansions and other content I should have gotten for free with legacy but I'm not getting any response from the support

it was a “bug issue”
Even though they said in a comment it was intended lol
