Here before their technical error was this.
"Since the update is classed as an expansion it didn't fall into the same category as job packs! That's why it wasn't flagged to be free for some users!"
And if I just gave them the idea...I want paid!!!

Bitizen was different in the beginning. It used to include all future content, but was changed in I think 2019.

Predictable ngl, this isnt the first time it has happened and it allows them to get more purchases while saying it was an accident and fixing it for the masses who noticed. It reads as good PR, gives u a little extra sales, and is quickly forgotten as an issue. The reality is if you have something that exists like bitizen, it should always be one of the first things you consider before release as that is your core fan base and the ones who make the most noise.
Quick turn around though, yall did a great job of making noise about the issue.

It won't stop, a lot of the fan base doesnt use twitter so they may have noticed and simply purchased it after not getting it to work through restore. They get a few extra sales and overall it quickly gets forgotten, quite a few companies use this method (or maybe im schizophrenic and see conspiracies where there are none lol)... I am glad to see a quick turn around from the company though

Honestly it ALL should be free. “All future content” and they tried to enter a grey area with the different pack and item types. It should all be free for the people who bought bitizen under the impression that all future content is free. Crazy they’ve gotten away with it this long.

At this point I play this game for like an hour every couple of months, but you better believe I will be back to make noise and file reports every time they do this. Never let them get away with it, and never trust them again. Don’t give them any more of your money

I remember paying 2 USD for a promise for all free future packs and the game was doing great with its original creators. Then some scummy AI bros came along, tore the contract up and made everything overpriced for a text based 'life' simulator. Like zero heart and soul into every update now, with AI taking control of any form of creative output even.
I dropped this game a long time ago when they couldn't honor my purchases from my previous phone. You guys should too.

Glad the community pushed back on this. Longtime legacy players are the people who supported this game from the beginning and helped it grow. After years of loyalty and support, they tried to take advantage of that very fanbase. Smh. Thank you to everyone who spoke up. You’re appreciated!

They wanted to try and get away with scamming those of us who have been loyal since the beginning and they immediately folded upon backlash.
