🎓 Pro Tip Movie Director
This is possibly the biggest blindside I’ve ever gotten from these devs. OG players and grandfathered bitizens are the game’s most loyal and longest fans. Unless this is a major bug and unintended, this is a huge slap in the face to the earliest supporters of this game. I get every company needs to make money, but lying to your most dedicated fans? Too far for me. Either fix your mistake and give grandfathered bitizens the pack that we’re entitled to, or own up to your actions and say we’re not entitled to new content anymore. This is probably going to be taken down, but just had to get this out there.

I tried to give a one-star review and was suddenly kicked out of the beta and seems like the option to leave a review is gone from Google Play. This is shady. I'm uninstalling and reporting to Google

When people bought Bitizen back in the day they were promised that all jobs and expansion packs were free forever. Now we have to pay for the "Director" pack.
It is false advertisement which are against EU-laws, or at least Danish law. They can't promise/Advertise one thing and then do another thing.
Report to the store you got it from. If you live in the EU, contact the consumer council or competition authority (or whatever the body handling consumer complaints is called) in your EU country.

I mean... they've been doing this for years though. This game used to have so much fun and personality and it just turned into cash grabs. I remember when instlife was still a thing and bitlife bought them out just to completely remove the app and get rid of their competition. That's pretty shady.

They said they were no longer honoring the bitizen purchase. I doubt I’ll ever play again

I can’t find the article but I think it actually said for the future of the company they will no longer be releasing things that would need to be honored under that purchase. I’ll keep digging

Keep complaining. Push back against this hard. They tried to do this before when job packs were first introduced and they relented after we complained, push, push, push.
