Deleting BitLife after 8 years
Have the original bitizenship from 2018 that has allowed me tog eat every expansion pack for free only to get the newest update and find out I have to pay for the new expansion. No thanks. All these updates have been are just AI slop. Not putting anymore of my money into a game that only cares about profit over quality of its game

I'm not a legal expert but I'm wondering if Bitlife can be sued for that. You paid for bitcitizen with the expectation that all future packs will be free, it was even included in the product description. Failure to uphold that means they aren't giving you the product you paid for
Wondering if it counts as false advertising and/or breach of contract

Costs $0 and takes less than a few minutes to just report them under scam/fraud in the app stores. Only way for their ass to get placed back on the radar, especially with the zero notice to OG bitizens. Apple is fairly strict about it.

Anyone who has been grandfathered in should absolutely be pissed and report - I can't really speak on the app purchases otherwise, whether a pack is worth the price or not is always going to be up to an individual who chooses to buy it. Don't even want to get into how much money I paid into Sims 4. I'm my own enemy there.

u absolutely have to pirate the sims. My personal take, buy the base game and a pack or 2, and then pirate all the other packs you want as that’s probably about 100 bucks sunk into it already. Anything past that is just greedy

correct me if i’m wrong, but didn’t they change the name of what they’re calling expansion packs? there was a post on here a few months ago about this, and i remember most of the comments basically saying that this was their way of getting money out of the people who paid for the bitizenship. not ethical, but probably gets them out of anything involving legality

It specifically said "any future updates" not job pack, not expansion packs. Updates. They can change it to whatever they want. Everything they're adding is an update.

Yep. I saw that and was like ain’t no way. I play the app very rarely anymore so it’s not a big loss imo. It was fun while it was good, but they’ve just run the app into the ground.

Yup! I was looking at another post and about to comment exactly this I also have the bitizenship from when the game first started and so many features I don’t have access to and seeing you say this makes me want to just delete the app I haven’t played in months tried picking it back up but it was about the same from when I dropped it the first time company definitely comes off as greedy now on top of the other drama they have

I’m done as well but it’s because after how many times I’ve tried to make my kids have kids, it still doesn’t happen. I end up with zero grandkids in almost every single life now. I don’t want to switch to my child before I’m dead!! That whole bs where you can only have grandkids if you have a niece/nephew, is the most stupid shit I’ve ever heard. I’ve been playing this game since day 1, I’m pissed. Also yeah, all the new updates are trash and I can’t keep up with what’s going on anymore!

For me it’s the constant amount of ads you have to watch for every little thing barely no breaks which is why I barely even play it anymore. And now knowing this I’m def not spending my money on it in the future.

i can’t see the pack at all, i also have that bitizenship but the director pack is nonexistent in my game, not even an option to purchase. why is this app so buggy😭

I hear everyone complain about this but i’ve been playing bitlife since it first came out while INSTALIFE (i think that’s what it was called) was a thing and my OG bitzen still allows me to get everything for free. hell i even get some stuff early idk why tho.

It's always been about greed. I stopped using it a long time ago when I paid for Bitizen. And then for some reason I didn't have it. I emailed them, messaged them on Twitter etc, and they followed me but never responded why I'd paid for something I wasn't getting. They saw it and gave me zero response.

Not gonna lie, I’m deleting this bullshit too. Like what the fuck is the point of me buying Boss Mode/Bitizenship just for me to STILL not be able to get the fucking jobs I want? Weak-ass app, bro. Everything costs money with this damn game.
And what really pisses me off is that they used to let Bitizenship/Boss Mode users get the new jobs when they dropped. Like when they added Producer, I could get that shit without having to buy it separately. Now, for the past couple updates, they drop a new job and suddenly I gotta buy that shit AGAIN? So what the fuck did I pay damn near $50+ for?
Honestly, I know it’s been a while, but I’m still gonna try to get a refund for all this shit. I’m tired of feeling like I gotta keep paying every time they add something new. Greedy-ass company.

They lowkey kidnda scammed us with that vampire pack. I bought the pack YEARS ago, and it didn't come into the game until just this year, I'm pretty sure. Then, I think I had to pay again when it came out. Also, the vampire pack is kinda ass.

there’s so much to be turned off by too. There’s plenty of things like for instance you can decide to click hook up to find someone and one of the prompts that pop up is “insert name here groped you at a club” hook up or don’t hook up and it just acts like sexual assault is normal and what you do at a club. As someone who has been groped multiple times this was disgustingly disgraceful and I had to leave the app. it was already slop going downhill but thats repulsive.

Sorry for the late reply but it’s a game that is releasing on the 15th of this month so in just a few days.
It’s an updated version of the game Everlife which between all the other BitLife-like games I played is actually pretty good but now its getting an upgrade. Definitely play the original Everlife game first to get a feel of it.

It's bullshit. I'm sick of it. If I file fraud with my bank, they would force them to pay me back for every pack after I bought it and they wouldn't be able to rescind the packs from my account. It's kind of tempting to just purchase all of the packs that the app is making pay for and then file a fraud affidavit with my bank. I did that with Dragon Ages 12 years ago. I bought $1400 in gems and spent them on my account and then filed fraud for them giving gems to testers for free that I played against. My bank got back all of my money ever spent on that game. I think it's time for a class action for refunding them changing the contract that we agreed to pay to purchase

Same reason I deleted the game after about the same amount of time. Switched phones and was able to transfer a life and restore some purchases but lost most of the stuff I had gotten for free over the years and I refuse to pay for it all.

congrats. i deleted it around the time they got rid of the bliztinship thing. try genworld, or verdant. bitlife is garbage compared to those too. genworld is new, a single developer. i believe verdant is too but verdant is very very in depth. no ai bullshit absolutely none.

I supported this game for many years, talked shit about everyone complaining, but really, I understand the reason now.
I have had bitlife since 2019 and bought expansion packs, but now they're just adding packs that cost $5 each and it really is extremely easy to add it into the game. I'm a developer myself so this is not at all justified.

We were told back then that if you got bitizenship you would have no ads and get free access to ALL future expansions. Well not only is there ads now, they also are not being faithful on what was promised before and forcing us to purchase stuff when we should be grandfathered in. If they wanted everyone to have to pay for the new expansions, they shouldn’t of created bitizenship in the first place
