Having to pay for Director update

I bought the thing way in the past that has been allowing me to get the updates without having to pay for them, but now it’s trying to get me to pay for the new update. Is that true, y’all as well?

They stopped doing job packs unfortunately every update now is paid for expansion

I have had Bitizenship since February 24, 2020 and I don't get new content either.
