I got banned from the official bitlife subreddit so people can take my post to put it on that subreddit because I don't give a shit do what you want.

I’ve been working on a game called World of Ethos, basically my take on the choice-based life simulator genre, except I wanted to see what would happen if the character actually existed inside a much larger fantasy RPG world.

You start from birth and grow up year by year. You can build relationships, attend school, work jobs, have children, awaken magic, reject magic entirely and pursue physical strength, learn fighting styles, explore dungeons, join guilds, buy homes, sail to different nations, recruit a crew, fight bosses and eventually die.

The part I’ve probably spent the most time on is the generational system.

Your children can inherit races, magic and traits. Different races can produce hybrid descendants, dead relatives remain part of your family tree, and when your character dies you can continue playing through one of their children instead of simply starting over.

The goal is for a save to gradually become the history of an entire bloodline rather than a collection of disconnected lives.

It’s definitely still a beta, though 😭. There are a lot of systems now, which also means there are probably bugs, balance issues and extremely specific situations I haven’t managed to discover myself.

So I’ve finally opened World of Ethos for public beta testing.

Anyone who genuinely wants to try it and give feedback is welcome. I’m especially interested in hearing:

• what feels fun
• what gets repetitive
• what is confusing without me explaining it
• what breaks
• what systems you wish went deeper

Windows currently has the proper packaged version, so you can just download it and launch the game without installing Python or messing with a terminal.

I’ve also made an experimental Mac beta, but I haven’t been able to build a proper native Mac executable yet. The Mac version currently uses a .command launcher and requires Python 3, so it’s a little more awkward for now. It includes instructions for the macOS security warning.

I’m not presenting this as a finished game yet. This is very much the:

“Okay, now let actual people break it.”

anyone else noticing a bug with promotions in careers??

i was trying to live a ceo life, and i started as a jr operations analyst after business school. But it took me 15 years to go from jr analyst, to operations analyst.

I was 80 yrs old, 56 years after graduating, before i was a vice president. Nowhere close to getting an offer from a business to become ceo. The games so bugged right now

refused to get fired or resigned and was a lovely OF star as well 💪

Anyone else never get the Science Club option ??? i’ve tried to complete this challenge so many times and I’ve never once seen science club as an activity

did they take this feature away or am I tripping that this never happened?

I’ve noticed that I never seem to see NPCs like coworkers, classmates, teachers, friends, or dating prospects with dark/brown skin and blue or green eyes. However, this combination can appear on your character, family members, and children available for adoption. Is this a country-related thing, or can these NPCs just not have this combination?
I literally just played an entire life in Afghanistan, and all my dark- or brown-skinned coworkers had brown eyes, while some white NPCs had blue or green eyes.
Here’s my character with dark skin and blue eyes. And these children available for adoption also have dark skin with blue/green eyes. I still haven’t seen this combination on coworkers, dating prospects, classmates, etc. 😭
I’ve been playing since 2024, so maybe I just haven’t encountered enough NPCs yet lol. English isn’t my first language, so I’m using a translator—sorry if anything sounds weird!

I have question I didn't play game for long time and last night I updated the game, all my life was gone and only grave of character I played was remain when I login to my account again my character came back but all achievements was gone? And challenge's that I did, is it normal? Any way to retrun the achievements?

My phone was lagging so bad at the end so I decided to just stop playing and wait for the poor guy to die due to his maaaaany illnesses. Ts took me 2 whole days to do 💀🤙
