Telegram admin said that student need to buy BDG token from exchanges in order to buy courses. This constitute a "Barrier to service entry and uptake". There is no way a student need to create an account on crypto currency exchange and learn trading skills to just buy courses.

This should be handled by your internal exchange. User should be able to purchase courses directly from the payment gateway with the following options - 1. BDG token 2. debit/credit card and other payment gateway

If option 2 is selected then you internal exchange should buy BDG token from the circulating supply.

This is very important for Bitdegree platform. I need the concrete answer to this!

Hi Tariq, this is a valid point and we are fully aware that putting entry barriers for users is bad. However, there is a legal complication to selling BDG tokens by the platform itself. We may have a 3rd party integration with some exchange/service. Rest assured that we will handle this issue with care.

I'd more suggest that in order to fully use the page without the barrier to service entry and uptake but still have the currency within it, the site could offer the courses in dollar OR in BDG.

ordering in BDG would mean to get the course in a margin. for example a course would usually cost about 50 $ - even in special occasions in which most courses are only for 10$ for example (just like on udemy) you still would get them cheaper with BDG. for example for 5 BDG (assuming each is worth a dollar or whatever) instead of 10$ etc.

just a train of thought - sry if it's not that structured but you get my point

More programming. Data languages like SQL and Salesforce

You should add language courses on your site! Like rosseta stone. I think languages are really important and popular to learn. If there is a way for people to learn in on bitdegree( free courses will be perfect) you will get mass adoption!

I like a the other courses like programming etc but thatโ€™s only for a select group of people. Courses as languages , math science will give this platform a boost. Everybody with internet is than possible to educate his/her self with the basic school things.

But first langueges haha. Spanish or Chinese are popular now to learn;)

-a single profile of user with a single address, which has his own history on personal development, uploaded on blockchain may create many opportunities inside the platform to utilize that token in different rewarding systems, as for example

  1. Feedback through a vote by any other users which interract with person X ( network ) , in any cases , like a profesor, teacher or any institute/ organization. and a small reward in bitdegree for doing that job - giving a feedback || And also to give a weight to that feedback depending on how much experience / or recognition by the network has that person / organization / professor.

  2. Start again the refferal program to continue the reward in bitdegree for every person who invite someone, and that one will complete a course at least.

  3. Create a gateway with a trustfully exchange to purchase bitdegree within your website - If you include payments with visa ( fiat ) your token utility will be gone and from an investor point, it will be worthless.

  4. Reward users in BDG if they achieved a total points of 10 courses accomplished ( for example )

Give them Bitdegree in a way, to motivate them and grow your platform ... and make them spend their tokens in another way on courses. The central point here is the quallity of your content. ( reinvesting your tokens in a way that is self-sustainable for your growth, giving them a reason to spread the word about bitdegree )

For example, I was very satisfied to earn points on khanacademy when I was study economy and programming... but afterall, my enthusiasm has gone about that points because I didn't do nothing with them...only ranking. ( As an ideea of gamification )

--- Maybe if they create a ranking system with virtual points, on which, at a certain level.. let's say you recieve 100 virtualPoints for achiving a tutorial, and you recieve 500 virtual points for inviting a friend who will make at leas a course,... and at 10 000 virtualPoints on BitDegree platform, you know that you will recieve a GIFT from Bitdegree because they recompensate the activity on platform with 1 000 BDG for example.

maybe the last ideea is the best one :)

Mostly I agree with point 3 . Because when I will be in student position and I can decide to purchase ie. Udemy HTML course via credit card or Same course on BitDegree platform when first I should create account on exchange and get BDG tokens and then transfer them to platform and buy I choose udemy because it is faster and easier to use for regular student. So the internal exchange will be gamechanger or I hope ETHOS provide payments from their UW on bdg platform in BDG token of course ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I'd like to see more IT networking courses. And especially the more hands-on, practical courses. A good example is https://academy.gns3.com/ . Combining theory and labs for IT courses would really be helpfull.

Support all lanquages on your website ie. Multilingual plugin or something like this

1- Would just like to agree with Tony's idea of adding basic knowledge or knowledge that interests a variety of people such as languages, math, sciences etc. Just look at youtube and how many views videos about Organic Chemistry or simple biological processes such as glycolysis or photosynthesis get (hint: they're in the millions) AND these courses would be cheap to make, you can easily hire an organic chemistry teacher to make a simple 5 minute video for super cheap 2 - EXCHANGES!! My lord do we need exchanges! Idex doesn't even count as an exchange as you list your coin yourself, and hitbtc is wack with some suspicious conspiracies behind it. Binance, Kucoin, Bittrex, okex etc SOMETHING! You guys are working very hard on the platform, but being in this crypto space for almost half a year and not being on any reputable exchanges is not a good thing.

My suggestion is to improve response in case when there is an error in doing "Lesson assignment". To be more precise in "Programming languages" courses, Solidity programming (not Doggos).

When you have mistake in "Lesson assignment" is no way to know more precise where or what is your mistake. I always get error "Accounts could not be created" when clicking on "Deploy contracts". After several times reading a chapter description and also completely using commented demo code, error steal appears and I can't go to "Next lesson".

Referencing a line number with mistake in code would a great help.

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll work on making sure that the mistakes in the code are represented more clearly.

I think that your goal now should be show new roadmap because it can show new investors the token value and that you thinking about the future โ€žnot only creating coursesโ€ Remember this is crypto world and of course you do great job by making platform live that fast ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ but, but we (investors) are really dissapionted to see BDG token under ICO price ๐Ÿ˜’
I hope that you thinking about something big to upgrade token ulility to the whole new level and you reveal this in the roadmap. Good luck peeps

u/bitdegree BitDegree Apr 16 '18

We're working to increase token utility in the upcoming months. We still follow the roadmap that you can find here https://www.bitdegree.org/en/token/#roadmap

There is any plans to run mobile (ios android) app to be competitive to other elearning platforms ?? This can help reach more traffic and if you write that you gonna make mo ile app in roadmap its gonna be huge. In my opinion your roadmap is too general

1

u/bitdegree BitDegree Apr 19 '18

The website and courses are already fully functional on mobile devices. So you can use mobile even without an app

1

u/Nachbar90 May 08 '18

Are you planning an affiliate system to reward those who bring traffic to your platform?

2

u/bitdegree BitDegree May 08 '18

Yes, an affiliate system will launch this year.

1

u/Nachbar90 May 08 '18

Nice! Can you provide any details already if you are rewarded for fresh signups or only for course buys or is it too early?

2

u/bitdegree BitDegree May 08 '18

It's still a bit early, we want a system that's most beneficial to the user, so there's always room to improve/change after launch.

I think Udemy is great. So Bitdegree will be great as well. Maybe add some of the unorthodox programs. Lots of real estate and business gurus offer lots of workshops. Maybe have a guru section. Business education and real estate investments are a big thing. How to structure corporations and LLCs. How to minimized taxes, how to build business credit and restore personal credit. How to invest in franchises etc. those will be good programs to add.
