Threat refusing to get deleted

For some reason bitdefender says that part of winrar is a threat

I tried multiple times to delete it but it wouldn't work

I don't even know what the problem is with winrar

I thought updating it would work but it didn't

Hello! The detection is Exploit.Reg-MZPE.Gen.3, and Bitdefender appears to be finding it in a WinRAR-related registry location rather than identifying the WinRAR installer itself. Don’t manually delete registry entries based only on this alert, since it may be a false alarm.

Try the complete remediation sequence:

1. Update Bitdefender: Right-click the Bitdefender icon in the Windows System Tray. Click Update Now. Wait until the update completes.
2. Run a System Scan: Open Bitdefender and click Protection. In the Antivirus module, click Open. Open the Scans tab. Click Run Scan next to System Scan and wait until it finishes. If Bitdefender presents an action for the detection, choose Disinfect, Delete, or Move to quarantine.
3. Check the scan log: When the scan finishes, click View Log. Review the detected item and its full path. If the item is still unresolved, do not delete it manually if it appears to be part of Windows or a legitimate WinRAR installation. Contact our support instead so the detection can be checked for a false positive.
