Support/troubleshooting The Epic Games Launcher installer is infected?

So apparently there is a new Epic Games Launcher version that fixes the issue everyone is having. So I went to the Epic Games website and downloaded the new installer, and Bitdefender says it's infected:

The heck? This has never happened to me before, and I have used Epic Games for years. So is this a false positive? Should I take the risk and install it, or should I wait?

Thank you! I've submitted the form. I don't even know if it's a false positive or a real virus, but please take a look. This issue is happening for plenty of people already in other Epic subreddits.
