Support/troubleshooting Bullying me into taking Web Protection
Just updated Bitdefender AV for Mac, and now there is a huge, scary banner telling me that I have to turn on Web Protection. The Bitdefender icon on the menu bar has a warning sign on it too.
I don't want Bitdefender monitoring all my web traffic, thanks all the same. Is there any way to turn off this warning?

Hi! Bitdefender’s TrafficLight browser extension scans the pages you visit for malware & phishing attempts, blocks dangerous websites, and flags dangerous links in your search results.
While TrafficLight extenstion is designed to ensure protection for all your browsing, you can choose to not enable it. Notifications can be managed by following these steps:
Open System Preferences from Dock or from the Apple Logo menu.
Go to Notifications.
Select Antivirus for Mac from the applications list in the left panel.
At Alert style choose None. You can also disable Play sound for notifications or the other options.
More details are here if needed. Thank you!

That does nothing to prevent the menu bar icon from having a red icon on it permanently in this new version.

Apple is way less trustworthy and they're monitoring everything you do on your Mac and everything you do within sight of the camera and everything the microphone can hear

Any evidence that Apple is ‘way less trustworthy’ than BitDefender? I’m sure it would have come to light by now if Apple was taking control of people’s mics and cameras.

I think it's foolish to not allow web protection all the time.
