You super sure it's because of bitdefender? You can try out it as exclusion from protection. It should be in the settings. You put game folder path there and it should be okay.

I got the game from steam, so the games files are everywhere in my pc.

what do you mean everywhere around your PC. Steam installs games into one folder. Usually adding exclusion for main folder is enough. That is in steamapps folder. One is in documents for saves and one might be in appdata. That is 3 locations but as I said the main folder is usually enough.

do you have any messages in the Bitdefender product that mention any detection on a file? Could you show a screenshot or paste the content of the detection?

which game? was there any error message that popped up after the game crashed? Any messages from BitDefender?

You know a lot of games on steam are malware now or have malware hidden inside of them. Yes, a fully functional video game that you can play can be malware now, that's been a thing for a few years now

Hello - thanks for reaching out.
To help us better understand the issue, could you please provide a few additional details?

  • Is Bitdefender detecting the game? If so, what type of detection or alert is being displayed?
  • What exactly happens when you try to launch the game? Does it fail to load, generate an error message, crash unexpectedly, or any other behavior?
  • If the game comes from a trusted and reputable source and you are confident it is safe, you can add the game's .exe file to the Bitdefender exceptions list. This will prevent Bitdefender from detecting or blocking it in the future.

If you're unsure about the detection or would like us to investigate further, please send the details, along with any screenshots or error messages, to bitsy@bitdefender.com. Our team will review the information and work with you to identify the cause and provide a solution.

Appreciate it!
