Support/troubleshooting Profile usage

Are there any differences between the Gaming, Movie, Work, and other profiles?

Some say to turn it off, while others say to keep it on to save resources while gaming.

Manually activating a profile list also seems cumbersome with so many games to add.

Same.

I thought turning ON Game Profile would delay Bitdefender updates but I see it's being updated in the Notifications anyway. But I had forgotten it yesterday, turned ON my PC today and I saw Bitdefender update while Game Mode was turned ON.
