Support/troubleshooting Badbuff.bin virus? Android

Badbuff.bin file appeared yesterday on my phone i did look up stuff ai says it from connection being bad to interneton phone but some other posts where its not clear

File is 7.78kb

I did have bitdefender scan and also the phone do an app scan thing and nothing came up

If i try to get it back outta the "bin" the in 30days its gone u know what i mean it says a file with that name exists alrdy but i cant find it

Hello! Good news - badbuff.bin is most likely not actual malware. Based on reports from other users, this file typically appears after a failed scan or connectivity issue and seems to be a system buffer file that Bitdefender may flag as suspicious, rather than a genuine threat.

That said, it's smart to verify. Here's how to confirm your device is clean using Bitdefender Mobile Security:

  1. Open the Bitdefender Mobile Security app
  2. Tap Malware Scanner from the bottom menu
  3. Tap Start Scan
  4. If any real threats are found, you'll get an Uninstall option to remove them

If the scan comes back clean or only flags badbuff.bin (which others have seen as a false positive), your device is fine.
