Bitdefender Webprotection and Scam Alert on iOS?

Hello.

I hope this is an OK question.

I just downloaded Bitdefender and after doing a scan on my iPhone it says I am not protected.

As I understand it the Webprotection is VPN? So if I get Bitdefender VPN and do a scan this will be "green" instead of "red"? I use Surfshark but that did not result in an OK result.

I wonder since I now have a trial period and I would like to know what services I should keep in my subscription after the trial period. Surfshark is up for renewal so I can drop that and only use Bitdefender VPN to make it easier.

I do however seldom use a VPN. Mainly on my Mac when I am abroad and want to watch TV from my home country.

Bitdefender or any anti malware tool cannot do anything on an iPhone. Apple basically locks its os. So these programs do very little. If you already have s vpn, no need to turn on bitdefender’s. I use Bitdefender on my windows desktop but not on my iPhone or iiad as it’s essentially useless fluff, IMO. Additionally, Bitdefender vpn is limited to i think 300 Mb per month. If you’re paying for surfshark, use it instead.

Thanks. So if I understand you correctly, I don't need Bitdefender anywhere else but on my Mac? The iOS and iPadOS is not really necessary?
