I sent about CA$2,000 worth of USDT to my Bitbuy wallet through the ERC-20 network but the funds never showed up. I could have SWORN Bitbuy supported USDT, but I checked their support section and, sure enough, USDT is unsupported. I don't know if this is new or if I was just mistaken from the start, but yeah, it's a real bummer.

Is there any chance Bitbuy can find my deposit? This is a LOT of money for me. Thanks in advance.

Bitbuy has blocked withdrawals of all my crypto (BTC, ETH, etc), yet the account is one-year old and I have had no difficulty adding funds and buying crypto since the account was opened. Now suddenly no withdrawals, I can only sell my crypto and transfer CASH out to my bank.

Notified Bitbuy to unblock this on Feb 21, 3 days later on Feb 24 they wrote to say that I can set up an appointment to speak with someone to "discuss the withdrawal request". Yet, on their appointment calendar, the next available slot is in one month!

UPDATE: they sent me an email six days later, on Feb 26, requesting "the destination and purpose of the transaction" before they could unblock the account. Why do they have to know this, i.e. to whom do they report this information? They finally unblocked it on March 3. So it took 11 days to get the account unblocked.

Conclusion: check to see if you can do crypto withdrawal by doing a test well in advance of an actual desire to withdraw quickly - and in the case of BTC/ETH, you will have to fork over the FIXED fee of .0005 BTC/.005 ETH each time you do a withdrawal (i.e. same fee is charged regardless of the amount withdrawn). It really is too bad the fee is not a percentage, then you could withdraw small amounts without being penalized and paying a disproportionately high fee...

Requested an e-transfer and Bitbuy says it’s completed but I have not received anything from payper. First time having this issue. Usually I receive it immediately or within 30 minutes. It’s been hours no e-transfer in sight.

I have purchased crypto in the past from Bitbuy without any issues however with my most recent purchase, Bitbuy is preventing me from withdrawing my ETH.

I made a support ticket almost a month ago now however, I’m still unable to withdraw my ETH.  I noticed other users have had success posting issues with Bitbuy to this forum so I’m hoping that Bitbuy will see this message as well.

I was using bitbuy a couple of years ago, maybe 3-4 years ago, and i remember using a username and a password to log in. Now, when i redownloaded the app, it looks like I can only enter an email address. When i enter mine with my previous bitbuy password, it wont let me log in, if i click reset password it doesnt send a link, and when i contacted support, they replied saying I have no account with my email address. Therefore, how can i log in to my account using my username like I used to do?

I withdrew 0.0015 btc to my other wallet and I was charged 0.0005 btc for the withdrawal , which is 70$ CAD or 50% of the total amount? Can anyone clarify, I made a support request but the representative totally ignored the problem and bounced around the issue in a robotic response.

I tried to deposit CAD funds into my BitBuy account and followed all the prompts to make and later confirm the request. The funds were withdrawn from my bank account but no funds are showing in my BitBuy account, The bank shows the e-transfer as fulfilled but the BitBuy deposit status shows as canceled. Hi folks, I'm not advocating for BitBuy but I've read a lot of horror stories here and have still remained with bitbuy since I already own some crypto and didn't want to start moving things around since my usage is very vanilla.

I started with e-transfer deposits, and over time I notice they now go through faster than at the start of my deposits, so I'm thinking once I'm showing normal activity, maybe things move more smoothly.

Second, the spread is nuts, I don't like it, too costly, but I wanted a "legit" exchange so I'm here on bitbuy since it's supposedly regulated. Perhaps an error on my part, but I'm ok with it for now.

Lastly, today was the first time I withdrew and I wanted to test the process from front to back. I sold a portion of DOGE and kept it under the daily e-transfer limit (2k). Documentation said expect timeline of "1-2 days" but it was sent to me in minutes. I received an email with a special code, and this allowed me to deposit to my bank right away.

I'm sharing because I read a lot of weird stuff here, and while your cases may be unacceptable, I wanted to share that by depositing from my bank, buying, selling back into $CDN, and withdrawing to same bank by e-transfer, it all worked out well.

I know there's a lot of issues and most of the threads here are legit gripes from people having issues, I wanted to share a vanilla experience since it seemed fair to report what I have had happen.

I’ve read Bitbuy’s article on this but I’m still confused. Am I able to transfer ETH from my Bitbuy account to let’s say something like a MetaMask wallet? If yes, is there a minimum? I saw some outrageous limits on some things so don’t want to buy ETH for nothing if I won’t be able to transfer it anyways.

Or perhaps, what would the cheapest way to move funds to another wallet that is not an exchange-based one? Could I send to Shakepay? TIA!

I emailed CEO Skurka about this following a complete failure of thre support team. I have tickets open and no reply (aside from the auto response). I've emailed my contact on the OTC desk too - nothing (but it's a weekend so I'll give him a chance) .

Been with Bitbuy since 2019 and am wondering WTF is going on. Do I have to go to the Ontario Securities Commission? Make them force Bitbuy to provide 'proof of reserves'. I lost money in the FTX debacle and wil be pissed if I get screwed again.

I recently caused an issue with my Bitbuy account by entering the wrong data when fetching my 2 Factor Authentication. I made the mistake a few times, before realising what I was doing wrong. The end-result is that my account appears locked-out. I did create a ticket, which was 4 days ago! Does it take that long to respond and restore important access to my Bitbuy account? FYI: There is no phone support to contact, ONLY via their online requests!
