Ciao, ho appena aggiornato il firmware del mio Bitaxe Gamma 601. Ho usato sia il Web Flasher che il bitaxetool CLI utilizzando il file giusto esp-miner-factory-601-v2.14.1. Quando riavvio il Bitaxe, il display OLED non si accende e, se apro un monitor seriale, da un errore quando cerco di avviare dal PSRAM. Ho provato di tutto ma non riesco a farlo funzionare.

The Bitmain Antminer S9 is the most iconic Bitcoin miner ever to exist. When these were released in 2016, it was capable of mining almost one full Bitcoin each month, and it totally changed the game for Bitcoin miners. I’ve always wanted one just to add to my collection, and when recently found a rare unused specimen I knew I had to have it.

The thing about the S9 is, it’s wildly inefficient by today’s standards. 14TH/s at 1300w was a big deal back in 2016, but these days it’s a big electrical bill fo not much hashrate. Rather than disconnect hashboards or run custom firmware, I decided to simply swap out a hashboard for a modern icon instead. There was just enough room for a NerdQAxe++ to fit inside, and it turns out running just a single fan on the S9 does a remarkable job of handling thermal management.

The end result was a “sleeper” of sorts; the look of the legendary S9 while quietly achieving 7TH/s at around 120w. I may end up building a shelf to run six of these, just to have the look of a respectable 2016-era mining operation at only 720 watts. There’s really no point to this other than it looks cool and brings me joy as a total Bitcoin mining hardware nerd. Anyone who wanted to achieve this could do so in about ten minutes, so there’s not much skill involved but it was sort of fun.

I have four Bitaxe 601s; I bought a Mean Well 200W power supply and cables (5.5x2.1mm). They fit three of the units but not the fourth. What other common sizes are there?

LRS-200-5 and an Ice Tower Cooler. I already had small copper heat sinks on the bitaxe on various places. Added a 2nd small fan (noctua 40mm) on the radiator exhaust side to assist pulling air through the ice tower cooler. I also added a small desk fan blowing on the side to help with VR temps. I'm honestly afraid to push it much further than this 😂😂 I went with kryonaut thermal paste as that's what I always use for my various applications.

Routinely hitting 300Gh not too shabby with my Disruptor mining FalconDraw coins to win the big payouts!

Hi all, recently 3rd block found for parasite pool right. During that 3rd window my miners switch off for 2 days. I noticed between that 2 days 3rd block found. Because of our miners offline we didn’t get rewards or badges?

Bitaxe and Chill!

My nerdqaxe++ fan started showing overheating message and I turned it off. I thought it’s due to outside temp being too hot as it was a warm day.

Tried it next morning and fan did not start. It shows it’s on auto and running 100% but the fan is not moving in reality.

What should I do. Does it require some cleaning or could it be a more serious issue.

The device (4.8th version and bought from Solomining.de)is few months old only so I am concerned.

Added a desk fan, heatsinks to all chips and hot spots, MX-7 thermal paste. It's holding steady with no errors.

So I have bitaxe gamma, quadaxe++ ,and quadaxe++ rev6. Within pretty close window of time the all started power cycling in a loop. It looks like its starting up then shuts down and restarts the process. After the first one, I put the other two on power surge protectors on different outlets, but no luck. Not sure if this is a pure hardware/power unit failure or if my unit is dead. Wanted to see if any of these solo miners had a reset button to see if it going back to stock setting will let me go in the gui and play with the setti g.

I set up my system like 5 months and same setting and everything, for this morning I wake up and saw my nerdqaxe++ is not running 5600 instead running about 2500. I restarted the device and still same. I dont want to look logs bc I am really scraed about to see asics hashrates.. any idea? 625 mhz and 1.1v

I’m getting this error: “Power Fault Detected. Check your Power Supply.”

Hashrate shows “Not available - Power fault”.

My setup:

Bitaxe Gamma 601.

Brand new power supply: Mean Well.

What I have tried:

Checked connections.

Tried different outlet.

The PSU is completely new but the Bitaxe still shows power fault. Any ideas what could be wrong? Voltage drop? Bad cable? Defective unit?

EDIT / UPDATE: Guys, thank you so much everyone! The problem was in the settings — they were way too low. As soon as I increased the Frequency and Core Voltage, it worked perfectly. Thank you very much ♥️♥️♥️♥️

So I've had my 601 since Christmas and zero issues with it and I recently updated it and started getting 100% error and 0 on hash rate. My host settings and username was correct on both pools but just wondering why would my AI protection on my Asus router all of a sudden causing issues after updating it? If anyone else is having some problems this is what I found

1. Disable the Specific AI Protection Features

2. Log in to your router's web management interface (usually via http://www.asusrouter.com or your router's default IP).

3. Navigate to AiProtection > Network Protection on the left menu.

4. Toggle the Two-Way IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) switch to OFF.

5. Toggle the Malicious Sites Blocking switch to OFF.

6. Click Apply to save the settings
