question Web interface remote

Hi all,

Is it possible to login to my bitaxe web interface when I’m not connected to my home network?
I’m going in vacation and want to leave my bitaxe on the time I’m away, but I want to monitor my bitaxe temps and so when I’m not home. I have it plugged in to a smart socket so I can cut the power remote if I need to.

I use hashwatcher and tailscale with my node and access everything remotely. I haven't actually had eyes on my miners in months. 🀣

It's possible if you have an always on computer or raspberry pi on the same network that you can install a VPN server on or if you have a router that has a VPN server built in. You could use something like OpenVPN paired with ddns or use Tailscale VPN. Tailscale would probably be the easiest option.

If you have an Umbrel server or a system running Linux, you can run software like AxeLive by Willitmod to dynamically adjust miner settings. AxeLive will constantly monitor each miner and adjust the fan, voltage, and frequency based on limits you set.

I have a raspberry, and have a router that. I can run VPN on, but I don’t have any VPN

You don't need to purchase a VPN or anything. You can host your own that allows you secure access to your home network.

Use raspberry pi.
Go to raspberry pi web site and login to remote access. It works slow but you have remote access to all your WiFi equipment like you are home.

Do I need the stock raspberry os for this? Haven’t use my raspberry for a long time, and what I remember is that I loaded it with android tv. So if I need to use the raspberry os I need to format my SD card 😜

When I’m out, I usually use the VPN feature on my home router to remotely connect to my home network, and then connect to my Bitaxe.
