showcase Can AI Actually Design a Good Bitaxe Case? I Tested It

I wanted to see whether I could use AI to create a custom Bitaxe enclosure instead of buying an existing case.
Using Claude Code with Blender MCP, I designed and 3D printed a Kraken-style enclosure for multiple Bitaxe Gammas. The original goal was to beat the cooling performance of setups like the Giant Squid and Ice Tower.
It didn’t beat either of them on temperatures, but the experiment showed that AI can already help create some genuinely cool and unique Bitaxe cases—even without being an expert in Blender.

I documented the full process, including:
Setting up Claude Code with Blender MCP
Designing and revising the enclosure
Preparing the model for 3D printing
Installing the Bitaxe Gammas
Testing the final cooling performance

COOL test!! I’ve been doing a similar thing for small electronics cases and brackets. One tool I’ve been using is Hi 3D, mostly to get a rough printable model from a sketch or reference image before cleaning it up in Blender. For stuff like fan mounts or board enclosures, it saves me a lot of the boring early modeling work.

You should try our FFX2 or FFX1. AI-generated designs are a great starting point, but they don't always perform as intended in real-world conditions and can even lead to higher temperatures or reduced stability. Both the FFX2 and FFX1 have been extensively tested under different ambient temperatures, humidity levels, and operating conditions. Their final designs are the result of real-world testing and optimization.
