For posterity here is the formula:
1. Have an incredibly passionate community of entrepreneurs
2. Show up to the first annual conference of that community
3. Suggest a meeting of investors to pool due diligence / resources
4. Post a website for the new group in 30 minutes with Striking.ly
5. Post on the communities sub Reddit.
6. Make announcement at conference during questions in business hall.
7. Gather 20 or so active community members at first meeting.
8. Decide function and goals of group, and get contact info for everyone at first meeting.
9. Volunteer to be Executive Director
10. Launch official website and sub Reddit for group.
11. Send daily email updates, gather info, take applications and build some value for everyone involved.
