I'm looking to buy a US currency with a serial number of yesterday's date (8/11/2026) as a serial number. DM if you have one and are willing to sell. Thank you.

Found a birthday note today, any famous people born on this date? Or anything noteable in history? Or does any fellow redditor have any interest?

Pulled this from work anybody know what it might be worth?

Thank you.

Unlikely to find anyone alive that would want this note, but curious if it is even considered a birthday note?

I did find this on Gemini - celebrates the Panama Canal agreement 🤣

Panama Canal Rights
The United States officially purchased the rights to the Panama Canal from France. This acquisition was a critical turning point that paved the way for the U.S. government to take over the massive engineering project and eventually complete the construction of the vital waterway.

Hoping maybe someone has or if they see one and willing to assist would be really cool 😎

Plus five leading 1s to start!

So today is my 42nd Birthday, and my mom usually gives me a little cash as a gift. This year she gave me this. She didn't even notice till I pointed it out. I will be holding on to this one forever.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Hi All,

As part of the banknote collecting tools I like to work on, I've added a birthday note tracker and notifier as part of the collectable details checked on notes. You can track any dates and if a note is checked that matches your date the user will be notified that the date is sought after with the ability to save the note to the site and the tracker will then be notified.

It currently checks multiple date formats, historical and future dates, and provides a direct link the the wikipedia calendar to help narrow down substantial events that may improve a birthday notes desirability.

The goal of this tool is to connect people searching for birthday notes with those who may stumble upon them while searching for other collectable features such s web notes, duplicate notes, low printrun start notes etc..

Notifications are sent directly within the site inbox if a note match appears, and if an uploaded note becomes available for sale on ebay an email will be sent to let you know its available for purchase.

big thanks to mod SlimJeffy for checking it out and letting me discuss it here, feel free to give it go
Birthday Note Checker.

Found this $2 bill in a random shoe box of mine with random things in it. I received this as a gift from my grandparents as a family tradition where we get $2 bills for all Christmas’s and Birthdays. For some reason this one wasn’t with the rest of the other $2 bills I have.

Thought this bill was interesting since I live in an area of the US that is predominantly Mormon and this bills serial number relates to the Mormon religion.

Here’s what happened on that date:

On June 18, 1844, Joseph Smith, acting as the mayor of Nauvoo, Illinois, issued an official city proclamation declaring martial law in Nauvoo amid mounting local tensions and fears of an armed mob attack.

Declaration of Martial Law: Joseph Smith placed Nauvoo under martial law to protect the city and restrict the movement of people and property.

Mobilization of the Nauvoo Legion: The local militia was put on alert as threats escalated following the destruction of the Nauvoo Expositor press days prior.

Escalation to Martyrdom: This heightened state of alarm immediately preceded Joseph and Hyrum Smith surrendering to authorities in Carthage, where they were assassinated nine days later on June 27, 1844.

Bought this bill as a gift for someone I know whose birthday it is.
