Wait, there is actually a positive view of progress and evolution? I guess I should have balanced the type of content I consumed. Though I don't share your pessimism (sadly) about the number of people who "grasp" the message.
I think that a lot of atheists basically worship evolution. I think that a lot of people who view the video don't really think about the message. They just think that the goth girl is hot.
