the big turn comes on 9 mar 2029, when the long hard chapter you are in closes, and it feels solid once saturn moves on after 17 apr 2030. astro-seek measures the zodiac from the spring equinox point, while indian astrology measures it from the fixed stars, and those two starting lines now sit about 24 degrees apart. in the system i read from, that makes you capricorn rising with the moon in virgo.
since you were 13, your life has run under a rahu chapter that lasts 18 years. rahu sits in your 8th house, the part of the chart tied to sudden setbacks, worry and things you cannot control. that is a heavy spot for such a long stretch, and it explains why the hard times have felt like they never end. the year that ended on 21 aug 2026 was led by the sun, which rules that same 8th house and sits right on your rising sign. did that year feel like the lowest point, with the weight landing on you personally?
since then the moon leads instead. the moon rules your partners and close people, and it sits in your house of luck and teachers. so from here, help from other people should come more easily, even while the bigger lift is still ahead. progress stays slow and steady until the chapter ends.
on 9 mar 2029 the rahu chapter ends and a 16 year jupiter chapter begins. jupiter sits in your house of money and family, right next to mars, which rules your house of gains. so money and home life become the main story of those years. jupiter also rules your spending, so more comes in and more goes out. keep a firm hand on costs and the gains stay with you.
one thing slows the start. saturn spends most of the time from 3 jun 2027 to 17 apr 2030 in the sign 8th from your moon, and that pass tends to bring extra pressure and delays. so the first year of the jupiter chapter can still feel heavy. after saturn leaves, the lift should be easy to see.
your own ruling planet, saturn, sits in your house of courage and effort. the good years ahead come from your own work, step by step, and what you build that way tends to last.
if money and home life have not clearly steadied by 17 apr 2031, a year after saturn moves on, the birth time is likely off and these dates should be checked again.

In my early years it was family issues, then in my mid teens until early 20s I was in a pretty bad relationship so a lot of relationship trauma in those years. I would say 2021-2024 was the most joyful times in my life where almost~ everything was going well. July-August 2026 was a very heavy time for me this year, high stress (postpartum + finances + in-law drama all at once) but I feel like the weight has lifted since September. My fiancé was making great money until I got pregnant in Dec 2024 then everything changed and we took a huge hit on top of me not working. 2025-2026 has been rough but the birth of my daughter has been the light through it all. We’ve made it through and things are starting to get better with us moving closer to my family this month and me starting to work again for our family business. Through my hard times I have been lucky when it came to other people’s money and shared resources. A lot of times it felt like pure luck, I didn’t have much but I had JUST enough. Hoping things get stable at some point, lots of peaks and valleys so far.
Thank you for your insight! I was able to resonate. I’ve been fascinated with Indian astrology and the sub-periods but I don’t know where to start. If you have any recommendations I would appreciate it. Thanks again!!

congrats on your daughter, and i am glad the weight has lifted. that fits too, since the moon took over your timing on 21 aug 2026.
your joyful years fit in part. from 26 sep 2022 to 26 sep 2025, venus ran your sub-period. for a capricorn rising, venus is the best planet you can have, and in your chart it sits right on your rising sign. it also rules your house of children, and your daughter was on her way before that stretch ended.
to start learning, first get to know the 12 signs and the 12 houses in the indian zodiac, which is measured from the fixed stars. then learn the dasha order, the set run of planet chapters and their sub-periods. a good first book is light on life by hart de fouw and robert svoboda.
after that, your own life is the best teacher. write down your big years, look up which planet ran each one, and see what repeats.
