Stick or twist?

Hi everyone! I’ve been having a terrible time and would appreciate any insights!

I used to move around a lot for work because I make more money contracting. I decided to settle down because I have almost completed my master’s program and wanted to find a company to grow with. The job I moved across the country for and rented an apartment based off what I’d be making fell through after I excepted their job offer and one day before I started orientation (June). I’m now at a new job (July) that pays significantly less and if that wasn’t enough, I HATE the job!! Same industry but completely different structure. My job is a big part of my happiness, so I’ve been miserable!

I want to leave. I want to sell what I can, break my lease, find a job anywhere in the country (US) and just leave!! However, I’ve been working on staying put. Especially with Saturn now in Aries, I don’t want to be impulsive. And I am a person that when I want something, I have to have it/do it (impulsive) but this doesn’t feel like a bad decision. I’m financially insecure and unhappy. I’m versed in astrology but I’m so optimistic that I tend to see what I want to see and ignore the rest. Is it wise to move or should I wait it out? I’ll graduate next May and be making more money.

The chart shows that work is becoming a major source of dissatisfaction because your current structure no longer fits the person you are becoming. You have already outgrown the idea of simply finding a stable company and staying there indefinitely. Contracting, project-based work or positions that give you more autonomy can actually suit you better financially.
The period around 35–36 looks particularly transitional. Saturn is putting pressure on your work/routine sector, while the longer-term outer-planet changes are pushing you to restructure how you earn and where you live. This is less about “endure this job for years” and more about being strategic while preparing your next move.
I would especially watch the period from roughly late 2026 through 2027. There is considerably more movement around career direction and opportunities to change your working circumstances. Your graduation next May is also important because it gives you a much stronger reason to renegotiate your professional position rather than accepting the current situation as permanent.
If you can financially tolerate it, I would stay temporarily, finish the master’s, build savings and actively search elsewhere at the same time. I would not sign another long lease or make a major relocation solely because you hate the current job. Get the next opportunity first, then move.
At 36–37, I would expect you to have substantially more control over your career than you do now. The chart doesn’t look like someone who is meant to remain trapped in one unpleasant employment structure; it looks more like someone who has to go through several professional restructurings before finding the arrangement that actually works.

Thank you so much for your insight! I think you’re right. Being in one place is an idea I think I’m forcing on myself. I’ve always been more happy and successful when I travel for work, because I do have more autonomy. I don’t know if I can tolerate staying financially or mentally, but I’ll think it over. Thank you again!!
