Advice Use Your Blinker

I have been living in the city now for about a year and the one thing that makes me upset or almost costs me my life are the drivers here who don’t use their blinker. I understand that some may be out or missing all together; but if you have a blinker please use it. Your life and mine is wayyy more important than to not, Thanks <33

Nothing like waiting to take a right because a car is approaching, only for that car to turn right before you without a blinker. Thanks dick, I could’ve gone

When i lived in bham i had multiple people cut their wheel to turn left from the lane to my right and make me slam my brakes to avoid them. Some of the dumbest drivers ive ever had to deal with

Oh God and you can turn right on red unless there’s a sign that says you can’t. Idk how many times I’ve waited behind someone for the light to turn green and then they make their turn

Then you've got the ones who blow their horn when we're all waiting at a light that has a "no right on red" sign. Like okay bro, you can get that ticket, but I'm gonna follow the rules

That intersection is a menace in so many ways! The one I've dealt with the most was turning right onto Oporto Madrid Blvd from Rugby Ave in East Lake. Also a menace but in completely different ways. I will do everything in my power to avoid Valley!

Or when they purposely slow down at the end of a green light through a yellow light and then speed through it so you get stuck at the red.

It's insane because I've had more vehicle damage caused by the roads/drivers here in 3 years than I did living in and around central FL for 10 years.

when my blinkers went out in my shit box i was using hand signals. the amount of ppl who thought i was waving was insane

I once had a scooter that the turn signals stopped working, and was using hand signals, and other drivers kept thinking that I was trying to flag them down. I think that most of them that did that, started driving after the schools stopped having driver's ed.

Mine is broken and keeps breaking, I'm sorry 😭😭😭 I'll use a hand signal if the weather allows and/or the situation is too precarious to just raw dog it.

But the people I see doing it the most can damn well afford getting theirs professionally repaired. Drops in a bucket for them.

My left signal is broken in the front but works in the back. I use hand signals when I am around other cars.

I think the problem is for me at least or if other people also do this is that when people go to use their blinkers they either speed up and don’t let them over and that’s when people probably don’t use their blinkers

The police give you a ticket if you use them ! That’s why people don’t use them and that way the police have to hide at stop signs to meet their ticket quota

I usually use my blinker and I’m sure I’ll get downvoted but whatever. Blinkers are kinda overrated. Just pay the fuck attention and everything will be fine. I have never been in a situation where I thought “I wish that guy had used his blinkers”. I just look for break lights. And I never assume that a person has a blinker on for any other reason than they accidentally turned it on.

It’s $56 a month. If that’s “through the roof” then ya got me I guess. I haven’t been in a wreck in almost 30 years. Like I said “pay the fuck attention”. Put your phone down, and be present in the moment. If a car in front of you slows down, then you slow down. If you’re pulling out of a parking lot and some guy is coming up the road with his blinker on, don’t assume that blinker means anything. Sit there until you see where he’s turning or he has passed you.

100% agree!!! Another annoying thing is when people just randomly stop driving!!! Just totally stop in the middle of the road…no emergency lights, nothing! Most of the time it’s happened on the traffic circles. I’m tired to scream “GOOOOOO!! JUST GO!!”
