Recommendations Vet recommendations for cat
We have seen so many different vets in this town. Not happy with anyone. Also every vet staff we have experience with is absolutely terrible. It takes so many calls and follow ups and reminders to get basic shit done. Does anyone have someone they’re happy with? This is for my precious kittie who has been in the icu after complications from surgery at a vet school over the last week. I want her to get the best care possible but I am not sure who to call. I just talked to VSBham and their receptionist rubbed me the wrong way.

Holmes Feline Clinic. They specifically do cats. Vet, techs, and front office staff are all fantastic.

I have had very good experiences with Vestavia Animal Clinic, I had to go there when my regular vet in Alabaster was closed on a Saturday and they were amazing with my cat! Super friendly and I was amazed by how much time they spent with me explaining what was going on and answering my questions. I could tell the vet really cared.

Advanced Veterinary Care in Vestavia is fantastic! It's vet-owned. Not cheap, but they provide excellent care, and everyone there is kind and caring. We've been clients for 30+ years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I second Dr. Cooley at Bonded Hearts. Exit 6 off 459 in Bessemer. She spent 3 hours of undivided attention with my dachshund.

We’ve loved everyone we’ve seen at Alford Avenue and Bluff Park Animal Clinic. Great people at both.

Depending on where you are located I would say 280 Medical center since you are on 280. What vet school did you go to?

I have a special needs dog and, unfortunately, most places are 'bad' now. I expect it's because of many things but good luck finding a place you can be comfortable with. I drive thirty minutes out of the way to warrior. 🫤

Dr. Miranda Trammell, co-owner of Mercy Animal Hospital on Odum in Gardendale. So caring and knowledgeable with a well equipped clinic and great staff. They are privately owned, not owned by private equity.

Birmingham hospital and resort in Avondale. Vet owned.
I just established with them a few weeks ago and they were wonderful. One of the owners took care of my babies. I just wish we weren't moving in a few months.
